Audi A4 or Saab 93 (Aero) Convertible. - Which drop Top? 1 Jan 2016 (Forum)
Having retired on Christmas eve. l've spent the last few days considering which convertable to buy, as a secnd car; in the new year. It will be approximately a 10 year old. petrol vehicle & l've narrowed the options down to the Audi A4 1.8 or the 2 litre Saab 93 Aero. I know this sort of decision is mostly down to personal choice however, l would value any opinion, considerations or indeed things to watch out for. -
Law on Vehicle Excise Duty...Help 29 May 2015 (Forum)
I have contacted DVLA over a week ago to advise me of the Statutory Instrument that gives them authority to cancel Excise Duty when a car is sold and the new owner to forthwith take out a new one despite the fact that the old may still be current. No reply to a simple request. I did a search as best as i could to try and find it without success. -

Ford Fiesta - Which Fiesta? 22 Aug 2014 (Forum)
The garage reckoned it was a faulty temperature sensor which they changed. We now wait to see if they have in fact fixed it. However we have both lost faith in the car and my wife wants to go back to diesel power. We're looking at a 12 to 18 month old Fiesta, questions are, what's the difference between the 1.5 and 1.6 units (other then 100cc) and which ones best to go for and why? -

My 20 year old Audi 100s4 has done 98,000 miles and is well maintained. Over past 3 years the engine has cut out on the motorway a few times at irregular intervals. All power is lost and the car sometimes restarts immediately but other times it does not and needs to be towed. -

Ford Focus 2.0 TDi 07 Plate - New Sump for Ford Focus 13 Dec 2013 (Forum)
Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew how much a new sump would cost for a Ford Focus? It would seem the D*CKHEAD who owned the car before me has had the old sump welded where he's grounded it on a speedbump probably, because of where it's wleded, you can't pull the sump plug/nut out. Any help would be greatly appreciated :) Cheers guys (and gals) Darren -

Hi Everyone, my ECU needs to be replaced, £700 dealer has quoted but I have found that I can buy one for £200 fully coded and ready to plug in and go with un-limited mileage warranty. But I need to know where the ECU is actually situated in my car so that I can take it out and get the part number. Can anyone help? And is it really as easy as take old one out and new one in?! -
Morris - Minor 1960 1100cc - What Oil should I use? 22 Jan 2013 (Forum)
I recently purchased a Morris Minor as a 'fun' car. It's a 1098cc engine of, I think 1960 vintage. Which oil should i use in the engine? Presumably the engine is using 'old' technology, so the latest fully synthetic oils would be inappropriate? Would a straight 20-50 oil be best? -

BMW 3 Series Compact E46 - Glue for door mirror glass 14 Sep 2012 (Forum)
Noticed a wobbly mirror today and when I got home gave it a prod. The glass came away from its backing plate unbroken. Car is old so no need for a new glass which is quite expensive. Question is how to stick the glass back to its heated backing plate. Superglue round the edges? Thought of double sided sticky tape but that might not work with the heat.
