  She served a customer in the queue who had already been rude to another member of staff and proceeded to the next. Suddenly the first customer started shouting and complaining about my wife\'s failure to pack her bag. My wife had never been told that bag packing was compulsory and had already started serving another customer. The truth is she panicked and didn\'t know what to do. Whatever she did, she thought one of the customers would be upset.

  There has been a number of recent emails highlighting the collapse in used car prices and I am grappling with this conundrum as to where it is all going to end?!!! 1. HJ?s comment that a lady looking at an £3k N reg 80k clio could have a had an 80k w reg at auctions 2. Mr GTI looking for £7k plus when in reality no one will buy it for more than £5500 3. Car are getting more durable in terms of finish and core mechanics but more complex and more expensive to fix as they get older 4.

  The Cross Climates are again wearing evenly and are at 5mm, after 25 k miles. The car generally returns low 40's MPG (mid 30's in the depth of winter) and the remap (Shark stage 1) has had no discernible negative impact on fuel economy, despite boosting power and torque considerably.   The in-car tech is now looking rather dated, but the DAB and Sat-nav have proved useful (and cheap to update) and a big (64 Gb) SD card carries enough music to keep all occupants entertained.

• SEAT Alhambra - Rejecting a vehicle SOGA refund 5 Aug 2014 (Forum)
   Upon driving to work the next day I noticed the power fault again on a steep hill ( no engine lights but losing power almost like limp mode) also the air conditioning hasn't been fixed and neither has the dvd player.  I spoke to the seller and asked for s refund and he has told me the fault had been fixed and was fine when test driven.  I returned the car to him on the Friday (his earliest convenience) and again asked for a refund as I was rejecting the vehicle under SOGA which he refused as he couldn't find s fault.

  It has few problems and seems a reasonable bet at 3 years old. The other model seems to have taken over the role of the old modded Novas or Corsa`s of a decade or so ago however Its not a Vauxhall. This newish, large supermini is often bought brand new by 17yr olds who are getting their first car, courtesy of parents. so none of the suffering of personal saving, doing without things as a result applies.

  If you haven\'t explored the rest of the site, then I encourage you to do so. This all takes a great deal of people\'s time, in particular HJ\'s. It also takes a fair amount of money. There are people who either do their work for free or at greatly reduced rates. People such as Stephen, Dave, Me and HJ himself. Adverts and pop-ups provide a source of revenue.

  A subsequent issue is that of the removal of the catalyst itself and the subsequent change of exhaust backpressure that may have a detrimental effect on engine longevity. What effect might this have on exhaust valve temperature? Whilst most interested in people?s opinions, I am also looking for research papers and test results, both lab-controlled and any owner?s experiences. Of course, much has been written about using UNLEADED in old LEADED-spec engines e.g. valve seat and ignition timing issues.

  I've had building & contents insurance with M&S (Aviva) for 5 years now.in the past two years it has gone up from £210.49 to  £495.26 an increase of 135.6% I claimed in December 2023 for escape of water. A copper pipe  hidden behind a false wall in the kitchen had split.

  I have replace the air filter and cleaned the MAF sensor with Liquid Moly cleaner. It has not helped though. Looking at live data from the ECU just gives 0's for the live MAF  looking at car parts sites using my reg gives MAF sensors in housings which can't be right as the housing does not come off on my car.   So far, it’s quiet and comfortable, has 200ps and is doing c50mpg with a mixture of motorway and extra urban driving. It’s continuing Renault’s adoption of Android Automotive, so you just treat the centre screen as s tablet and give it voice commands after saying ‘Hey, Google’. Lots of toys to play with and updates to follow if anyone’s interested.

  Just had a car emerge from a side street and collide with the o/s rear door of the car this morning, and I’m massively pleasantly surprised how effectively everything was handled. Collision happened just after 8, swapped details, drove home. Rang the insurance company, bit of a hold to get through, but an easy enough process.

  Parked just along the road from my house was a quite young but very, very dirty van. This van also had an enormous dent which stretched along the N/S from the passenger door, right along the sliding door to the rear wheel arch.  Now you are probably thinking, well what is noteworthy about this?. I won't say the company name, but the lettering revealed the company to be, "Purveyors of superior automobiles for the discerning motorist".

  Apologies for the rum induced nostalgia moment, but what was the car which instigated your lifelong interest in cars? For me, after a childhood of dozing in the back of a series of Volvo 340’s my dad suddenly went a bit mad and turned up one night in a 1985 C plate (2 years old at the time) Saab 900 16v Turbo 4dr in metallic burgundy with tan interior and all of 175bhp which was a huge number for 1988.

  Bought via auction without V5 as a CAT S write off. I have insured the van however have just realised that I cannot Tax and MOT it as I do not have the V5 or the previous sellers details. So my questions are - 1 - do I need to wait 6 weeks (or longer during covid) for the V62 postal application to DVLA for a log book to run it course or is there a more efficient way for this to happen.

  I know four-strokes are generally more reliable but are they less fun? I have also noticed that VFR400's are quite pricey (even G and H reg ones) and for the same money I could buy a 600. Any suggestions? Mike
