Jaguar Land Rover launches classic driving experience 3 Oct 2017 (News)
. Once guests are finished testing some of Land Rover’s most iconic vehicles on the Eastnor estate, they’ll be able to take to the wheel of some Jaguar legends. From the late-1950s is the XK150 - the last in the line of XK sports car legends of their time. But drivers can also experience its replacement – the E-type. Visitors will have the chance to try both a Series 1 and the later Series 3 of the 1970s. Enthusiasts will also be able to drive the car that gave Jaguar its reputation for ‘grace, space, and pace’ – the Mk2 saloon. -
Ferrari 365 GTC Coupe at auction 21 Sep 2017 (News)
A 1968 Ferrari 365 GTC Coupe is heading to auction. The 20 th car of 150 built, the Italian model goes under the hammer at Bonhams Zoute sale in Belgium on 6 October. It is expected to fetch €730,000-870,000. Another scarce classic - one of 99 made - is the 2004 Aston Martin DB AR1, which carries an estimate of €250,000-350,000. -
Nissan offering scrappage-style trade-in incentive 1 Sep 2017 (News)
The savings can be used in conjunction with other discounts, meaning Nissan buyers can save up to £5000 off their new car. The saving offered depends on the model you’re interested in, but there are discounts on new Micra, Juke, Qashqai and X-Trail models, as well as on approved-used Leaf electric vehicles. -
Diamond celebrations for Lotus Seven at Silverstone Classic 5 May 2017 (News)
Designed by Lotus founder Colin Chapman, the Seven embodies the ‘simplify, and then add lightness’ philosophy of its creator. The roadster remained in production at Lotus until 1973 when Caterham Cars acquired the design rights following Chapman’s decision to discontinue production. To mark the car’s diamond anniversary, the Lotus Seven Club is expecting more than a hundred examples from the past 60 years to for the special display. -

Frankfurt Motor Show 2015: Honda shows cycling proficient Civic Tourer concept 10 Sep 2015 (News)
Honda will debut a Civic-based concept car aimed specifically at cyclists called the Active Life Concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Designed to show how massive the Civic Tourer actually is, the Active Life Concept includes an integrated bike rack that extends out from the boot so that owners can maintain their bicycles. -
Frankfurt Motor Show 2015: Hyundai to preview performance-focused ‘N’ models 27 Aug 2015 (News)
Hyundai has also given the model plenty of publicity by running one in the World Rally Championship. Aside from the WRC car, the other big star on Hyundai’s stand will be the N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo concept car – a futuristic supercar concept (pictured below) that will be available to drive in the Gran Turismo PS3 game, but isn’t set to go into production. Finally there will be a high-performance version of the axed Veloster, powered by a 300PS 2.0-litre engine (pictured above). -

Chris Routledge, managing partner at Coys, said, ‘We have been holding sales at Ascot for over ten years, but this one was the most successful ever, achieving two world records.’ Other highlights of the classic car auction included a 1960 Maserati 3500GT (£110,000), a 1918 Bianchi Sport (£72,000), a 1948 Fiat 1100S Berlinetta (£57,800), a 1992 Ferrari 512TR (£117,160) and a 1935 Riley Imp 9HP (£75,720). -
Five Ferraris for sale at auction this weekend 22 May 2015 (News)
Philip Kantor, Bonhams european head of motoring, said, ‘The motor car offered has been under the same family ownership for 27 years and, after a brief stint in bright yellow paintwork, this rare ‘plexiglass’ model is now finished in its original colour, Rosso Rubino.’ The other Ferraris going under the hammer are a 1976 Ferrari 308GT Berlinetta Vetroresina – estimate €190,000-230,000 (£135,000-164,000) and a 2009 Ferrari F430 Scuderia Coupé - estimate €120,000-180,000 (£86,000-128,000). -
Techno Classica 2015: High-performance Bugattis on show 20 Apr 2015 (News)
Introduced in 1934, it was the first and only Bugatti Type developed under the influence of the 25-year-old Jean Bugatti. Aimed at modernising the company’s cars, this was a tourer to rival those offered by Delahaye, Delage, Mercedes and Bentley.
