Peugeot 3008 - Fuel Consumption and Performance: 150 vs.163 28 Jul 2018 (Forum)
Trying to understand the vast differences between the fuel consumption figures (and to a lesser extent the performance) of a 2.0 hdi Manual and a 163 hdi Auto. Surely the difference is not simply explained by the transmission losses and extra weight of an automatic box? -

Why no digital fuel gauge yet? 29 Jan 2010 (Forum)
Nowadays if distance to empty value can be shown, why not the "Litre remaining in tank" not be shown?? PS: Some cars do have a digital fuel gauge now but instead of actual value, it shows digital bars (like mobile phone battery level). -
Vauxhall Corsa B (1993 - 2000) - 95 1.4 - No fuel getting to engine 15 Aug 2009 (Forum)
I read a similar thread where a sensor and a relay were mentioned, where do I find them so I can test for power to the fuel pump. -
Total fuel: Free breakdown assistance 11 Jul 2009 (Forum)
Total's service station finder doesn't seem to be working for me at the moment so I don't know if the offer is now nationwide. Anyone tried it? Normally we tend not to use Total fuel ? I find that it makes the exhaust smell of garlic :-) -

Peugeot 306 (1993 - 2001) - Spare parts prices 21 May 2009 (Forum)
I've just had to buy a new fuel filler hose elbow for SWMBO 306. This rather insignificant piece of fuel proof hose is basically a 2" bore 90 degree rubber bend, that joins the fuel filler pipe to the fuel tank. I'm not complaining that this part is needed as the car is almost 10 years old, but the retail price (excluding VAT) is £21.67! -
Ford Focus III (2008 - ) - 08 1.8 Fuel Gauge Not Moving After Filling. 26 Nov 2008 (Forum)
Hi just to let you know that if your fuel gauge does not show a full tank after filling to the brim, making sure to remember not to pull the nozzle out and put that little squirt extra in to round the numbers up (stupid capless filling making a mess on the forecourt), it is probably due to the fuel sender unit being faulty. -
Speedsters galore, fuel must be too cheap 4 Jun 2008 (Forum)
Don't they care about conserving fuel for the future and reducing air pollution if they reduce their speed ? -
2P per litre fuel discount 22 Aug 2007 (Forum)
I recently got the sad news that my GE Money Everyday card that gives 3% cashback on fuel is being discontinued so have been hunting around for something to replace it. Most of you may have already noticed this, but if you buy fuel at Asda and pay with an Asda credit card, you get 2p per litre off. -
Rev an engine before switching off? 12 Dec 2005 (Forum)
s comment in the DT today, in response to a letter from DS HJ says that one should not rev an engine before switching off because it will leave the cylinders flooded with fuel. However with regard to a modern fuel injected normally aspirated petrol engine the fuel is cut off as soon as the ignition is cut so a few extra revolutions of the engine will leave it with fresh air in the cylinders as opposed to fuel or acidic exhaust gasses. -
citroen c3 water in fuel warning 25 Nov 2005 (Forum)
I have a recurrent fault on my 52 registered 1.4hdi c3. Over the past year on 3 occasions the fuel gauge starts to constantly flash. I read in the handbook that it is a warning to say water has been detected somewhere in the fuel system. By the time I manage to get it booked into the garage the flashing stops. -

Rover 220sdi air in fuel system 6 Jun 2003 (Forum)
I've recently been having problems starting my car which I believe to be due to air getting into the fuel system. The AA man who came out after I'd worn the battery down trying to start it remarked that there was no fuel in the filter and so he had to prime it. On priming it myself I notice that as soon as I stop pressing the priming bulb I see air being drawn back into the filter (at the outlet the other side of the bulb). -
Renault Clio Fuel Leak 6 Jun 2003 (Forum)
There is no visible rust or any holes in the area where the fuel is coming from, could it be a loose connection somewhere? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers Chris -

LPG - The fuel of the future?? 5 Aug 2001 (Forum)
Overall my experience is that the only option is to have a car converted which can have teething troubles/warranty implications. Has anyone else found that it is almost impossible to buy a factory dual fuel car?
