  Provisionals among the part-exchanges included a high £7,950 for an independently imported 18k mile 02 reg Golf IV 1.9TDI CL estate, al low £5,450 for a 15k mile 03 reg Focus 1.6 Zetec 5-door lacking the climate pack, and a very low £4,750 for a 23k mile 03 reg SEAT Leon 1.4S with alloys and air. Amongst the fleet cars, a 12k mile 2002/52 MINI Cooper with a/c, leather and CD player sold for a Christmas Present money £11,150. Provisionals included £6,500 bid for a 2k mile 2003/53 Honda Jazz 1.4 S, £10,450 for a 10k mile 04 reg Golf Mk V 1.6FSI auto, £12,500 for an 87 mile 2003/53 reg VW Touran TDI PD 140 S 7-seater, and a shock low £21,000 for a 4k mile 04 reg BMW E60 525dSE auto.

  And in another hall, a 2003/53 Mercedes E320 Avantgarde CDI with incorrect mileage bid to just £24,200. Even MINIs seem to have become a bit more sensible. An 11k mile 04 reg Cooper S bid to £13,050; a 14k mile 2002/52 reg Cooper in metallic dark green with a full length sunroof bid to £9,550; and a 67k mile 2001/51 reg Cooper sold for £8,250.

  And a V reg S320 was the cheapest I’ve yet seen at £15,850 provisional. There was also plenty of excitement in the other halls today. MINI prices remain completely mad. A 73k mile 2002/51 Cooper with a/c bid to a ballistic £8,800, while a 28k mile three year old One, also with aircon, sold for a staggering £8,250. An 11k mile 2003/53 Honda Accord 2.4 Executive Tourer auto with leather and sensible 205/55 R16 rubberwear sold for £14,000.

  An 89k mile 2001X 520i 2.2SE auto with leather sold for £9,300 and a 51k mile 2001Y 525iSE manual with cloth for £11,100. MINIs stayed expensive at £10,700 for a 16k mile 2002/52 Cooper with tlc and Pepper pack, and £11,500 for similar car with 4k miles. But old shape 7-Series have been hit hard. A Glacier Green 2001X 728i was a bit lumpy at 102k miles, but did not show them in its condition an looked like a very good buy at £9,600 provisional.

  But all the 18k mile 2002/51 reg 318i 2.0 Compact could raise was £11,400. A severely over-specced 16k mile 02 reg MINI Cooper S, with just about every option but strangely unattractive in silver and black, sold for £15,150 which must be around £5k less than it cost. A 32k mile 2000W CL500 sold for a low £36,800, yet a 75k mile 95N XJ6 3.2 Sport made a high £5,500.

A 63k mile 95N Rover 220Sli wasn’t going to break the bank at £500 provisional even if they wanted a couple of hundred more. A 132k mile 92J Peugeot 205 1.4GR was cheap wheels at £80.
