Yet they have exactly the same thrilling suspension set-up and razor-sharp steering that made the ZS180 such a hit. Being a plus model, this one also benefits from a good level of standard kit.

  It eventually sold for £73,700 - more than three times its lower estimate. Those after something a little more unusual were tempted by the rare and restored 1965 Citroen 2CV Sahara. This particular example had actually crossed the Sahara desert from Nigeria before coming to the UK. The car sold for £68,200. Elsewhere, there were a few signs that demand for Fast Fords was cooling.

  Crews gear up for Peking to Paris rally 19 May 2016 (News)
  Citroen DS takes on the desert. For 2016, the ERA is staying faithful to the original route used in 1907, crossing the Gobi Desert and Mongolia before striking through Russia but instead of heading to Moscow, it now turns to Belarus and enters Europe through Poland taking in Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland and France.

  Mazda 3 Shortlisted for Car of the Year 21 Dec 2013 (News)
  The new Mazda 3 Skyactiv, now on sale in the UK, has been shortlisted as one of the seven contenders for the 2014 European Car of the Year. The other six cars nominated from 30 potential candidates are the BMW i3, Citroen C4 Picasso, Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Peugeot 308, Skoda Octavia and Tesla Model S. Freshly introduced in Europe starting in October, the new Mazda3 was the only Japanese model among the final seven and only one of two non-European cars.

  Ford Dagenham has been engineering and manufacturing engines since 1931, and now specialises in fuel-efficient diesel engines for Ford, Citroen and Peugeot small, medium, and large car ranges, as well as featuring prominently in Ford’s commercial vehicles. Over 50 per cent of worldwide Ford diesel engine demand is supplied by Dagenham.
