  • Audi A8 (1994 - 2003) - 1997 - Automatic Gearbox specialist -- Midlands?? 29 Dec 2007 (Forum)
    I would like to get a so called 'sealed for life' box serviced with oil and filter change. As I'm sure many know, Audi main dealers will not touch these unless something has gone wrong (which it hasn't..) and so I'd rather use a specialist. THanks all. {added in the year from a forum search of a previous post of yours}

    I gave my 2 years and 10 months old Audi A4 its regular bi-annual wash today and noticed some bubbling of laquer on the spokes of the front wheels only. It looks like bubbling but it is very firm when pressed with say your fingernail - I didn't want to get scraping just yet.

  • Buy a new Audi A4 Avant? 28 Jun 2004 (Forum)
    I have a 2 1/2 year old Audi 2.0 Avant. The dealer has a good offer going up to 30th June (end of quarter- bonus-that sort of thing). I fancy a new 130PS diesel with multitronic transmission and quoted delivery is September. But apparently a new face lifted one is due in January 2005.

  • Audi A6 Avant v BMW 5 Series Touring 15 Aug 2002 (Forum)
    I'm looking at buying a 3 yr old diesel, probably a 1.9TDi Audi or 525d BMW with circa 30,000 to 40,000 miles on the clock. Apart from Climate Control I'm relaxed about spec. and intend to keep it for 2 - 3 yrs. I do about 25k per annum. Any thoughts on the conparison between running costs for the two cars?

    VW Audi Service Schedules now quote two different Timing Belt intervals for each car.  In the case of my A5 2.0 TDi the interval is 120,000 miles if the vehicle is designated as 'fleet' i.e. if VW Financial Services are contracted to pay for the maintenance, or only 75,000 miles if it is designated as 'retail' i.e. if you or I are paying dealer for the work.
