Boring used car advice 27 Apr 2019 (Forum)
I've narrowed it down to two vehicle's either a Hyundai i40 diesel around 2016 or 2017 and a similar age Honda civic idtec. The civic feels far higher quality and better to drive and the Hyundai drives just ok but doesn't feel anywhere near the quality. The civics engine is far superior in every way I've a 75 Mile commute all motorway and go to Europe every two or three months. -
A scrap yard (ATF) somewhere has put my reg plate 8 Mar 2019 (Forum)
Called the DVLA, they tell me an Authorised Treatment Faciltiy (ATF) has entered my reg plate as the car scrapped. Now I can't drive my car it until it's proved that it's still on my drive and I own it. By email it'll be two working days, so that'll be Tuesday, before I get a reply about it. This is mostly letting off steam but please add any comments, info, advice if you have it -

Any - Black Box (Telematics) Insurance 12 Apr 2018 (Forum)
Does anyone here have any real life experience of insurance that uses telematics to monitor your driving? I'm looking at how to get my 17 yo son mobile at an affordable price. Having a black box installed looks a viable option with the added advantage of having someone looking over his shoulder to (hopefully) curb any thoughts of him driving like a looney. -
2017 67 Honda Civic Type R GT - under car noises 6 Apr 2018 (Forum)
A reasurance for anyone getting these symptons. Fantastic drive car which suddenly developed under car ticking, swishing & light rattle noises, all speeds, especially on the turn. Eventually into the dealers, test drive & no conclusion. Up on the lift, remove one of the underfloor panels for inspection. -

Citroen Xsara Picasso - Anyone with Citroen Xsara Picasso 00-10 AUTOMATIC? 17 Jan 2015 (Forum)
It won't let me go any higher. I didn't know if this was how it should be or if there is a fault? It doesn't quite feel right driving at 70 in drive, it feels like the revs are high, which is what made me try to shift up to a higher gear. Any advice appreciated. -
C3 Picasso or Kangoo - Newish diesel for me? 5 Oct 2014 (Forum)
Diesel (cheaper tax reasons) But I've been told the DPF on diesels isn't for me .. I will literally drive the car for about 10 mins day (loading up parcels to take to the PO literally 4 minute drive away) ... weekends I would use it for longer trips, days out etc ... and only about 3 times a year to load up with camping stuff and go on long journeys.. -

Just as a thought, ( im a part time taxi driver btw) the vehicle i drive has done 250k miles (diesel) and was wondering, what vehicle has done the most mileage in history?, without engine being replaced/refurbished. The Torano i drive has gone through 3 engines, 2 being due to drivers not checking the oil and resulting in engine seizure. other being a taxi has been driven to hell and back. -
