  While up in Leeds the other day for other reasons went to look at a car advertised on a cerain website (with a lady friend who was interested)and on the surface it looked okay. Was told that damage was "only bumper wing and headlight" so a question, car was 2 years old, no service history being sold on a back street lot.

  We have a 21-year-old Pajero; it is 1.9 metres tall. For years we have been driving it into the car park of our local Lidl at Horley, Surrey. However the shop was closed for refurbishment for about three months - and has now reopened.

• Ford Fiesta ST - Query About A HJ Review 28 Mar 2015 (Forum)
    I sold back my ST to the dealer in February '14 after similar issues (amongst others) and got nowhere with either dealers or Ford HQ. I wonder if the car above was my car sold to some other poor soul?   For my own piece of mind I would liked to know if that was my old car and whether the new owner was looked after.    I wasn't sure if using 'Ask HJ' was right place to ask so thought I'd try here first.

  Can someone please tell me what might be wrong with our car. It's a J reg Fiesta 1100 with a four speed gearbox and sometimes it is very stiff to get in and out of the gears...it doesn't happen all the time. The car has been driven by us from new and I realise it's an old car but it only has 30 odd miles on the clock so hasn't been to John O' Groats and back .

  The gear knob was £75 ,and the cable £45 ,unbelievable ,so it's down to the local scrap yard for me .Probable cost £5 each and a bit of time spent scrabbling around a dirty old car . How do renault and perhaps other manufacturers justify prices like these ?

  My mother in law needs to replace a 13 year old KA, she's 65 so wants this to be the last car she buys, as you can guess her milage is low around 5000 miles a year. She has a budget of 5-6K. Is she better getting a brand new budget model Dacia, Checvrolet etc.. nearly new citroen C1, fiat 500 or slightly older ford ka, toyota ka.

  Fault bad clutch judder - the car has never had a clutch judder. They fitted a new clutch and flywheel under warranty. Got car back and I still have this noise on the accelarator. Before I ring the garage has anyone any idea what this is?

  Daily round trip of 25 miles a day so diesel not overly needed. Needs to be reliable and looking to keep for 4 years. Weekend runs to football with twin 8 year old daughters. What's everyones thoughts? I will be buying one of them tomorrow.

  burnt out at 40,000m. all my previous cars have done over twice this and still been o.k.when sold on. I have recently swapped a second car, a 7 year old MX5 with 115,000m. on original clutch. But honda insist its the way I drive. The CRV is mainly used for long runs and I use the cruise control as often as I can also the acel/decel buttons which is the first car I have had this device on.

  I shall soon be looking at auction for a replacement car of about three years old. I don't specifically want to buy a diesel but most of the ex fleet cars at auction are diesels so I limit my choice if I avoid them. If I buy a deisel I wish to aviod the hassel of a dpf.

  Hi, I would welcome some thoughts please. I have a 5 yrs old V70 SE D5, thats just done 70K. It has 1 previous owner, bought at 3 yrs from a Volvo main dealer - driven by the wife carefully, less that 12K a year for the last 2 yrs. Left it at the airport for the week, 5 miles down the road the car threw a cambelt.

  Tailgate is jammed shut (although I can open it from inside the car) The tailgate warning light is illuminated on the dash - Car is 6 years old purchased used from the main Honda Dealer in Chiswick London - full service history at main dealer and less than 65000 miles.

  I know little about paint but the way it seems top be flaking off its almost as if it wasn't applied properly? the car is a year old and has done 19K. Most of this driving is down A roads with little done on motorways. Is this just normal wear and tear to be expected or does anyone know if this is a problem common to audis?

  I did try a search but most postings seem to be over 2 years old. Has anyone had any recent experience with UKCarBroker? A long story short i was supposed to receive delivery of a new car on Monday which never happened (apparently due to the parent company suspending fleet codes - whatever that means) - i now find myself in a position where i still don't have a car.
• Citroen C5 1.6HDi VTR+ - Used Car Good Deal? 10 Aug 2010 (Forum)
  It's been on display mainly, with a few drives for the trade I'm told and has a full service history, albeit the 1500 mile serice was done in Oct 09 (at 1477 miles) and it would have the 2-year service prior to me taking delivery (at 1500 miles but 2-and-a-half years old).   Any thoughts would be appreciated, the car comes with a 1-year warranty from delivery as it's part of Citroen's approved used scheme. • Winter Driving in Norway 16 Feb 2010 (Forum)
  Yes main roads are cleared but not down to tarmac, but down to a manageable level of snow (two inches?) and thereafter cars are on snow tyres with little metal studs. They drive remarkably quickly for the conditions, but all the cars I saw seem to be in very good condition for their age (some at least 20 years old). No salt is put down, but some form of grit which provides grip but no melting facility.
• Ford Focus III (2008 - ) - 2008 1.6 Glowplug light 13 Nov 2009 (Forum)
  This new one never seems to illuminate the glow plug light when starting her up. At first I thought it was due to the summer weather even though the old car always lit it for a couple of seconds prior to starting. Now after some colder weather I've decided it can't be that . Can anyone else confirm the presence of a glow plug light on a similar car.
