  while driving today a boy of about 15 ish decides to overtake me as i was about to turn right luckily i looked in my door mirror and saw him and stopped in time he wasnt wearing a helmet no tax or mot and no insurance i told him what i thought of him he was lucky he wasnt hurt all this happened about half a mile from a police station on a main road

  Watching 'The Car Lot Blaggers' last night,and it is on again now,ITV 4,Jimmy Nail was driving a sports saloon,reg. 324 PE,but what is it?Paused it on a shot of the rear but could not read the make,six letters across the boot.Quite a stylish looking motor,slab of walnut dash,a bit Jaguaresque apart from the side mouldings.The wheels look like they could be Rostyle.Does anyone know the make and model?
• Looking for a Car for SWMBO 4 Feb 2009 (Forum)
  The criteria I have been set that it must be an automatic with a reasonable amount of power, i.e not a 1.2litre auto clio like she drives at the moment. It also needs to be reasonably high for ease of access, but preferably not a 4x4. I'm thinking about a Mercedes Benz B Class which seems to tick all the right boxes, but any other suggestions would be welcome.

  hi all, This primera has a strange intermittant faualt where the abs light comes on when you turn the steering wheel to the left from the straight ahead position, it has had the n/s drive shaft replaced some time ago. it does this while the car is satationary or moving mainly while stationary many thanks
• Volkswagen Passat (2001 - 2005) - Brake Fail STOP warning 17 Jan 2009 (Forum)
  There is a "STOP Brake Fail" warning that keeps appearing intermittently during driving on my Passat Estate 1.9TDi. Of course the brakes are working and I would like know what should be done. Interestingly, it especially keeps coming on when I turn right while the car is in motion. Anyone with a suggestion?

  my golf runs fine, and starts no problem, however when i drive it up to a junction or a roundabout and deppress the clutch the engine revs down strate passed the idel revs and cuts out. some times it drops to about 400rpm then starts coughing and splutering before finaly cutting out.

  Hi I have a pug 306 1.9turbo my girlfiedn drove it into the floods. the car startes and drives fine but has started drinking lots of fuel and smokes like mad when idleing cant seem to find the problem with it i have been told to replace the injectors is that so? advice would be grateful

  After my wife has been driving for a while and the engine has warmed up occasionally the engine management light comes on and it cuts out. After a couple of minutes it starts up again and all is okay. It always starts first time and only started doing it yesterday.

  Section 4B - "Do you need to wear glasses or corrective lenses when driving?" I pass the standard eyesight test for licences by a large margin, however I sometimes use distance glasses on motorways in order to make out the furthest objects early, for improved safety. Do I need to answer "yes"?

  hello had my 307 hdi 90 for about 2 months been great car but to day i noticed when setting of and going through gears as i go to accelerate there is a flat spot 1-2 seconds then picks up when driving along great no problem car is well serviced and been using millers diesel additive any ideas

  Enough snow falls to needs a plough to keep the roads passable; does the driver connect up the apparatus and go for a drive as normal? Does he keep the truck engine on the rev limiter and drift round roundabouts? Where does he learn his technique? Do Highways Departments ship out loads of lucky trainees to Finland or Austria?

  We are looking to get small petrol driven car for my wife from new, thing is she is looking for a low day today running cost and and as high MPG as she can get. She drives about 60 miles a day and stick to the speed limits like a vickar's aunt. We dont want or need a diesel so what is the most efficient petrol out there?

  My freinds Clio has now reached 57k and I think its time it needs a new belt, does the cambelt on this engine drive the water pump if so should the pump be changed? The car dosn't currently use any water and there is no noises coming from the pump.

  In almost every car i have driven, I have heard some pinking (at least I think its pinking), usually whilst driving at medium speed up a hill. I thought that with the advent of ECUs and higher octane fuels, pinking was a thing of the past. Clearly I am wrong?

  My Avensis will stall on idle frequently through the day, but once I start driving this seems to stop. Toyota has cleaned the EGV valve but makes no difference, otherwise it runs perfect. Mechanic says its a common problem because of UK fuel. I only use SHell diesel. Anybody got any answers ?

  Last year a total of 2,946 people died - a 7% reduction on the previous year when 3,172 died. It does look as though all those cameras are having an effect on the way people drive and the resulting accident rate.
• Citroen - Picasso 05 1.6HDi Turbo Problems 22 Sep 2008 (Forum)
  I have a Citroen Picasso that likes to go into 'get home safe mode' showing an engine fault message. The car only occassionally gets to drive over 35miles an hour but when it does - the engine fault appears. I am now told I probably need a new turbo ......which is going to be expensive. How common is this problem on these engines?
