90 or 110 TDI? 22 May 2001 (Forum)
I have just had the situation where I have been to look at a car, and was told it was the 110 model, but after a 35 mile drive to see / test drive the car I found the engine to be very flat in power for a 110 (either had a hard life or it was a 90). Are there any visable signs or engine numbers I can ask the owner for before going to view the vehicle? -

Extended Test Drive of a BMW 520d 9 Apr 2012 (Forum)
I have recently had a BMW 520d SE on a 3 day extended test drive and here are my thoughts. To put a bit of background to this, my company car is due for renewal and I had originally short listed a Merc E and a 5 series for test drives. Unfortunately the E has now been removed from my list so although I wasn’t that keen, I decided to drive an Audi A S-Line as a comparison to the BMW 5 series. -

Citroen C3 8 year old - Car insurance putting us in harms way to save cash 29 Jul 2010 (Forum)
The insurance garage agent said it was Safe to drive, even with no spare and after the crash and we should have no problems, irony would prove him wrong. The car never drove the same since the accident, we waited 12 days while driving with a spare and took the car to our own citreon garage, as it was acting well funny and a warning light came up on the dash an engine managment warning. -
Are cars just TOO fast? 26 May 2005 (Forum)
People will always object to new things introduced for safety reasons. Like seatbelts. Like compulsory driving tests. Like driving sober. Like not using a mobile while driving. But sooner or later they get the idea that they do not have a blanket right to do as they please and hang the consequences. Well the same should be true of out and out speed. -
