  I assume its a glovebox out job and have alook round the back ? And will it be a 3.5mm jack (a la the s-max) is some bespoke connector ? Your thoughts please.......

  Help please? Just bought a 98 /S Kangoo van with a Blaupunkt radio cassette fitted. Not sure what model it is, but it preset buttons in a block on right and does have the remote paddles on the steering column. It worked rather well until I inadvertantly disconnected the battery thanks to Renault battery clips, and it now needs the code inserted.

  When switched on the light comes on but i dont hear the compressor kick in, at idle i do not notice the revs drop when switched on either. Didnt seem to really chill the air so i think something is up. On 206's are there common problems with the air con or where do i start with diagnosing the issue? It worked fine last summer/autumn. thanks

  I bought an S plate 1.9TD Volvo S40 today, its got 114k on the clock and it needs service. I'm planning to do it all myself with the help of a mechanic friend. I need to change the oil in the gearbox (its manual) because it feels stiff when changing gears.

  Put my 2 replacement doors on the Primmy last w/e but can't get the markings off the doors that the breaker wrote on them, you know, "Primera '99 n/s/f" plus their part numbers. I've tried petrol, WD40, brush cleaner, brake cleaner, white spirit, meths and soapy water. I can get a bit off with the soapy water but it looks like it could be a time-consuming job (probably longer than swapping at least one of the doors!)

  Hotels each end are booked, but he wants advice on a nice place to stop on the way down for lunch, and any unmissable spots round Malaga way (Gibralta is high on the list, and he fancies taking a trip over to Morocco is that´s not too tricky). Not a part of Europe that I know much about, so any advice from you all would be gratefully received. BTW his intitial estimate for the drive down was `about 2 1/2 hours´. Hmm.....nearer 6 hours I thought.

  Apparently SMC of Slough have the last 3 unregistered MG ZT V8's (Rover 75 derived) left in the country* so if you fancy a stonking Ford powered V8 you know what to do! Old technology OHV engine and shocking fuel consumption.. who cares? ..and the real beauty the price is just £15995.

  I had my mind set on a mark 2 galaxy ghia(not seen a new model yet), but now im looking at the toyota verso diesel 180 bhp.Seems better value with all the toys, but im not happy with the oap image (no offense) i also kind of like the mazda 5, but to many poor reports, i like the s max but my partner says its to much of a mans car, so come guys and gals. Whats your choice and why.

  Yaris passed the MoT OK very recently but with a prompt to look at one of the front disks. The O/S front disk has the usual small crust of rust around the very outside edge of the face on the outside. On the inside face it has about half an inch of very slight pitting and rusty area all around the edge.

  Evening chaps, I have an Audi A6 2.5 TDi - 1999/S reg with 126,000 with Audi FSH When the car gets warm t starts to blow out blue smoke - as though it's burning oil ! There is no loss of power at all. When I open the oil filler cap it releases lots of pressure.

• Lowering a Fiat Barchetta 22 Feb 2006 (Forum)
  I´m thinking of lowering my Fiat Barchetta. In fact that´s bit of a fib, I´ve bought the springs from eBay for ?60 for the set of 4 and they claim to lower the car 25-30mm. Aesthetically I think the B rides a bit high. I don´t want to completely pimp it to the tarmac, and would appreciate any benefit in roadholding over the standard Fiat springs.

  I keep telling him the RS naturally but he thinks I may be somewhat biased. 1) Ford Focus RS 2) Seat Leon Cupra R 3) Porsche Boxtser S I know you're all probably going to say the Porsche but assume that's an outside chance of being able to afford it so just assume it's a possibility whilst the other two are definites. The RS is the best one isn't it?

  I wonder if anyone could offer an opinion/advice please? I have an Escort diesel van 'S' reg non turbo and you'd swear I was carrying 5 tons in the back! Some hills are no go areas as there is such a severe lack of power. I went to a local garage who suspected it was going to cost £300 to repair.

  I put £4 worth of unleaded into my boyfriend's diesel Golf TDI S reg today. Petrol attendant told me it would 'probably' be ok to top it up with diesel and let it run for a few minutes to burn off. It ended up with £40 diesel to £4 petrol and has run fine for a 200 mile return trip.

  I have a 2 litre 1998 's' Primera. It has leather and all that and I really like it. Fuel consumption is okay 35-37 mpg and it does me okay. I want to keep it for a couple of years longer. It is has now done 93,500 miles and ticks over like it did when I bought it in Jan 2001.I get it serviced yearly and change the oil about every 5000 miles.
