  My old E39 BMW 530i from new and 120,000 miles later still looked dashing. My mini is over a year old and looks wrecked. Mini dealer said it was bad luck and had the minimal amount of paint. I’m tempting to get the repairs and then a full wrap. I love my car but wish I bought something else if the paint work is that shoddy.

  I am looking at purchasing 58 plate Mini Cooper S but the mileage is 79k. The price seems quite good at £8000 but I'm not sure if it would be better to buy an older mini with lower mileage. I like this car and it has the lower tax as well as some great features, but I have always had low mileage cars in the past and this mileage worries me slightly.

  SWMBO continues to fancy a MINI (car, not skirt....). Has anyone any experience of comparing a MINI One with a Cooper? I don't think that we need or can afford the S. Journeys are mainly her driving 5 miles to and from work, plus me borrowing it for some long business trips to keep the mileage under control on the Audi.

  Have you seen that 'fake Minis' advert on TV. I couldn't understand it at all when I first saw it, but now I'm assuming that they are taking a shot at the Suzuki Swift, which has similar styling elements to the Mini. Do you think I'm correct in this?

  Just looking at the prices listed to our right, here, now who on earth would by a used MINI for more £$£$ than a 147?? I don't believe the high residuals will be around forever on MINI, so why not have a better spec NEW car & save the cash!!?? I WOULD!!!!! VB

  I am currentlydriving a Nissan X trail diesel and my wife has a old pug106 for work,the Nissan is parked up most of time and mainly used for towing with.I am thinking of selling Nissan it is worth around £9k and buying a Mini One around 2002 for my wife to use and a cheap diesel estate for towing.Anyway i don't know alot about the bmw Minis,what should i be looking for and what sort of fuel economy should i expect?Are the early mini much cop?

  Driving past my local Stephen James BMW Mini dealership the other day, I saw, outside on the forecourt a new (presumably) Mini convertible in white/cream with a price tag of some £27k+, in the windscreen. Doing only a modicum of research, I could not find what type of Mini this could be to cost that amount of money - does anyone have any ideas as to what it could be?
