At last, a MINI in good taste - NowWheels
It's on show at the the Alan Aldridge exhibition at the Design Museum in London (see www.designmuseum.org/exhibitions/2008/alanaldridge ), but there's a picture of the car at www.retrotogo.com/2008/10/alan-aldridge-d.html

If cars have to be painted, why can't more of them be painted like this one?

I used to wonder about that, but now I see it's all to provide a bigger canvas for psychedelic painters to work on.

They do contain a bigger engine and stuff, too, as well as bigger people, I suppose...

I thought we had seen the last of these nursery-painted jalopies forty years ago during the entertaining but frivolous orgy of bad taste and immorality now longingly romanticised and falsified under the name 'the Sixties'. Never liked psychedelic-painted cars much myself. Unwanted attention isn't really my thing most of the time.
