Nissan Qashqai - Faulty Nissan Qashqai 6 Feb 2015 (Forum)
We bought a brand new Nissan Qashqai in May 2014. On the drive home, noticed three 'service faults' and a problem with the camera. (Called the dealership the same day and told them.) To cut a long story short, the problem with the camera still exists today. The car has been in for repair seven times for a total of 136 days (4 and a bit months) - that's now over 50% of the time we've owned the car. -
Speeding fine exclusions 26 Jun 2020 (Forum)
May have been caught doing 36 in a 30 zone this morning. But what is annoying is the speed camera van is parked alongside the private entrance to a farm. Do the police have authority to set up shop on any grass verge or private entrances . If so I’m thinking of trying to overturn the penalty ! -

Audi A5 Coupe - Fitting Garmin nuviCam 30 Aug 2015 (Forum)
The suction mount on the new Garmin nuviCam is so short that it cannot be used on very raked windscreens such as my Audi A5 coupe. The top of the nuviCam fouls the windscreen and the camera will only point to the sky making it useless. Has anyone found a solution to this problem? -
Examples of great driving 13 Sep 2010 (Forum)
After a short break in the UK and all the aggressive driving and speed cameras at every turn, it's great to be back in Spain and return to the 'normality' of driving here. Tonight for example, I was cheerfully overtaken... ...whilst travelling on a steep uphill gradient... -
Reporting naughty parking on double yellows. 1 Mar 2009 (Forum)
This a.m. stopped just up the road from an operative servicing a speed camera. His vehicle was obstructing both the pavement and the road, being in fact parked straddling the double yellows! So, as you do, I took a couple of snaps. Where to send these to best effect? -

Fairer Parking Enforcement? 27 Jul 2007 (Forum)
To improve consistency, for the first time local authorities outside London will be able to issue PCNs by post when camera evidence is available or when parking attendants are prevented from serving notices by violence or driving away!" I don't view that as an improvement. In fact many of the measures there represent yet another attack on motorists. -

Sat.Nav. problems in France 4 Apr 2006 (Forum)
I've heard that people have been stopped by the police in France to check on their sat.nav. systems because they may contain data on speed camera locations. I know that the use of radar detectors is highly illegal in France but I wouldn't have thought that sat.navs. would pose a problem. Any comments please? -
Motorway information signs 17 Dec 2002 (Forum)
Has anybody noticed that the new information signs on the M1 near Sheffield have a small light in the top left corner even when the sign is switched off. Is this some kind of speed camera or surveilance system? Ben (who does about 75 so shouldn't have anything to worry about) -
Old biddy drives down slipway........ 8 Aug 2002 (Forum)
......and straight into the river! WTF was going on there? From the cameras, she didn't even slow down! Without being 'ageist'you have to wonder about some of the older people driving. I wonder if the police will check her for eyesight or even driving without due care and attention? -
Mazda 3 - bus lane 20 Mar 2023 (Forum)
Reason I mention this was because this exact new policy was mentioned 2/3 years ago - https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/12648877/drivers-bus-lane-first-time-fines-law-change/ And then the DfT released this in 2022 which I'm assuming still applies - https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/bus-lane-and-moving-traffic-enforcement-outside-london/traffic-management-act-2004-statutory-guidance-for-local-authorities-outside-london-on-civil-enforcement-of-bus-lane-and-moving-traffic-contravention Under "Warning Notices" it states the following - [i]To promote compliance by helping motorists understand the seriousness of moving traffic contraventions, for a period of 6 months following implementation of enforcement of moving traffic contraventions, at each particular camera location, local authorities outside London should issue warning notices for first-time moving traffic contraventions. This also applies to any new camera location in the future. The warning notice should set out the 6 month period and advise that any further moving traffic contravention at the same camera location would result in the issue of a PCN. -

Not too bothered on inbuilt sat nav as can use the phones sat nav as only used sparely anyway. Outright, cash, bank loan, car finance, PCP? Heard on PCP that you can't add anything to the car, like parking sensors or camera or any own things would want if handing back. -

Mazda CX-5 - Has my Dash Cam been installed wrong? 23 Jan 2017 (Forum)
and the rear image is upside down - seems as if the camera was installed the wrong way up. Also the installer has placed the front camera so close to the Rear View Mirror mount that I can not slide the Dash Cam to the right in order to remove it - the Police in my area have warned locals to do this as there has been a rise in car break in's just to nick the Dash Cam. -
Foreign drivers let off 25 Dec 2008 (Forum)
Most speeding drivers caught by the force face a £60 fixed penalty and three points on their licence. However police said that if a driver is registered outside the UK, the camera offence is currently "rejected".'' Now go to France and try speeding or choose another european country and fail to carry your fluorescent jacket, spare set of bulbs, warning triangle and see if you get ' let off ".
