What is reliability ? 31 Aug 2009 (Forum)
E.g car A fails 5 times in 10 years and costs an average of £150 per time to repair Car B fails only two times but costs and average of £800 to repair. Also what do people thing defines lack of reliability, recently had to replace a switch on my car as it broke, some people would be saying the car was unreliable but I just took it as one of those things you get on running a nine year old car which has done over 100,000 miles. -
Audi A3 + S3 (2001 - 2003) - Urgent. Can you lock this car without the key? 19 Aug 2009 (Forum)
She is staying in our daughter's house while the daughter is away with husband and nippers. A neighbour told her the car seemed to be open. One of the doors was on the latch, and they are all unlocked. It's an Audi A3 diesel, five years old or so. I don't know the car myself. How does she lock the car without the keys or fob? -

Tracing the history of a Mini 11 Jan 2003 (Forum)
A friend of mine has a 1994M Mini Cooper that is currently SORNed, but in show condition as it has just been restored. He now wishes to sell it as the opportunity to buy an historically significant car has come up. However, the car's registration plate and history (he is the third owner, after the car was bought at 6 months old from a local dealer) leads us to believe that the car was originally a press or brochure car. -
Volkswagen Phaeton (2002 - ) - Am I nuts? Or just plain old fashioned mad? 7 Nov 2008 (Forum)
I was in my local VW dealer yesterday looking at trading in the good wife's Touran for a new one. She's lucky enough to have just got a fantastic new job with a very generous car allowance, and is therefore expected to have something new and reliable for the job. So, the 4 year old Touran with 52k on it and 4 years of child/dog related abuse is looking a bit below par. We have settled on getting a 2.0 TDi SE DSG as the replacement and are very much looking forward to enjoying the extra power and equipment over our current poverty spec 1.9 TDi S. -
