Citroen C4 Picasso 7-st (2007 - ) - Citroen 1.6HDi - to EGS or not to EGS? 25 Sep 2009 (Forum)
I have decided to go for a VTR+ 1.6HDi this time around in Kyanos Blue - but haven't yet decided to go EGS or not, I have read conflicting reviews across the net but find them a little difficult to relate to as I have only ever driven manual cars. Does anyone have any experience driving a Citroen EGS in general or speicifically in the C4 Grand? IF so, I'd appreciate your feedback. I plan to test drive one on Monday before placing my order - any tips on how to get the best out of the test drive given that I've only ever driven manuals? -

Speed bumps. 14 Sep 2009 (Forum)
I made a complaint to the local council about speed bumps/pollution, this is the reply, from defra, via the council. Note the "this kind of irresponsible driving". I always thought it was legal to drive to the speed limit? Thank you for your letter of 25 August about pollution. I have been asked to reply. Local councils within the UK have a number of targets involving cutting pollution, and we are not aware of any councils that are exempt from them. -

Lexus GS450h (2005 - ) - Any experience of hybrids 14 Jan 2009 (Forum)
After playing around I decided to do a short trip (5 miles or so) driving sensibly and not tearing about and got 48mpg. Are there any other posters with experience of driving hybrids as I do like the look of the new Honda Insight as well. PS - I am anti diesel so please no lectures on real world economy - I don't like the noise, the smell and the problems that come with them in turns of reliability. -

Crazy motorway driving 24 Nov 2008 (Forum)
On right hand bends she pulls out and occupies the third (O/S, overtaking) lane. Fascinated I slowed a little to watch and yes on LH bends she drives in the N/S lane and on R/H bends the 3rd lane. Does anyone have an explanation for this? -

Vauxhall Agila A (2000 - 2007) - 2001 1.2 Help-wiring in driving lamps 6 Aug 2008 (Forum)
Hi all, I have a Vauxhall Agila and wanted to add some additional driving lamps which would come on when i switched to high beam. I had thought this would be a simple matter ,i.e just wire in using relay and +ve feed from the switched live to high beam but no...apparently the Agila, I suspect, uses negative switching. -
Police driving over the speed limit 3 Aug 2008 (Forum)
Now I know the driver's receive extensive training etc but a kid running out in front of them can still happen at any time with no warning and no amount of training can cover all situations. My point is, what gives plod the right to drive over the limit whilst the rest of us by law have to stick to 29.9mph? Even allowing for speedo error, these guys are closer to 40 than 30. Any coppers out there care to defend themselves? -
is she completly off her rocker 5 Jul 2008 (Forum)
so i just did an online look see, it has 5.3 litre engine, its book MPG is 11 in the city and a whopping 14 on the highway...............0-60 on a full tank if your lucky(ok i made that one up) now when i say she drives it i mean she drives it everyday its her main vehicle......so considering the ever increasing fuel costs does anyone know the name of a good asylum we can have her committed to. -

Toyota Yaris (1999 - 2005) - 2003 1.0 T3 - Clutch - is it judder ??? 30 Jan 2008 (Forum)
Today, I noticed a judder feel to the clutch, but was told by the technician that I wasn't applying enough revs to the car. The car is my wifes' and I drive a zafira diesel 99% of the time. On the zafira I can pull away without applying any revs, yet the Yaris just stalls if I do this. It's been years since I last owned a petrol car and cannot remember if I can drive it the same way asI drive my diesel. -
Biggest distractions for drivers 17 Dec 2007 (Forum)
I'm currently doing around 1000 miles a week, about two-thirds of it on a motorway and although I shouldn't really be I am staggered at the poor driving I see, i.e. people pulling out without looking, not noticing the line of stationary traffic until they are almost on top of it then skidding to a halt etc etc. My theory is that a good deal of the problem is that drivers today are not focused on their driving and have too many distractions. -
