No more pint on the way home (or any other time). 6 Dec 2009 (Forum)
Proposals to reduce the drink-drive limit: http://tinyurl.com/yzhgsyb In my opinion a flawed idea. It's not the currently-legal people who cause the problems, it's the ones a way over the current limit. It would make more sense to entirely ban the use of telephones when driving. -

Correct use of head restraints 21 Aug 2007 (Forum)
How many Backroomers drive with their head in contact with the restraint - i.e. actually using it as a 'headrest'? I'm aware of the importance of correct restraint height, but don't find it comfortable to use them for support when driving. -

BMW Fault 30 Apr 2007 (Forum)
When stationary with the engine running , if you press the clutch down there is a loud wyning sound. Is this the thrust bearing. The clutch does not slip and it drives like normal. Just this loud noise, oh and you can feel a slight shudder in the clutch pedal itself. If it is the thrust bearing is it an easy job to fix. What happens if it goes completly. will i just loose drive or will the back wheels lock up. -
Time to require keepers to keep records? 14 Feb 2007 (Forum)
There seem to be a number of car owners/registered keepers who have difficulty remembering who was driving the car they are responsible for at any given time. It's usually when the car's driver has been caught speeding or committing some other offence, like running a red light. For the people who can't remember who they allow to drive their car, wouldn't it be sensible to expect them to keep a record? -
Nissan Primera problem 11 Dec 2006 (Forum)
When the engine is running and I have my lights on the alternator makes a whining noise whilst idling. If I am driving it or give it more revs the whining stops. The battery light does not come on when driving Does this mean my alternator is on the way out? or is it the drivebelt? Thanks in advance -
Bumpy roads 27 Nov 2006 (Forum)
Since retiring and moving house the bulk of my driving has changed from being on major roads to being on minor country roads. Does driving on bumpy roads significantly shorten the life of suspension and steering items? I currently do 10k/pa, mostly on the speed limit when out of town ~ well, I'm not going to admit on a public forum to breaking the law by speeding am I? -

Ipods 31 Jul 2006 (Forum)
I have seen several drivers wearing Ipods, white in ear phones both ears whilst driving. They appear to not even be able to hear other drivers stood on their horns. Is it legal to wear earphones whilst driving. In my rally days if we were stopped on a road stage we quitly took off our ear defenders as at that time they were not road legal I think.
