  Hi My cooling fan keeps coming on randomly.  I've replaced Temp sensors x 2 Cooling Fan Air con pressure switch 50 amp slow blow fuse and cleaned all earths i can find and yet the problem is still there. Any suggestions what I should try next.  Thanks

  Are there any power steering pipes on the off side or anywhere else which woud explain the leak without dismantling the radiator air con assembly?

  hi my ford focus jerks every now and then ,replaced egr valve yesterday and it jerked last night ,alsso have fuel filter changed ,checked sensor on pedals and told they were ok ,air  con light comes on itself  dont kno if this is all connected to the one problem but id be very grateful if anyone could help me

    However I now have a serious water problem in the passenger footwell. The wetness appears regardless of the air con. being on or off.I can find no source for this water.  Anybody got any ideas?

  I have changed both the sender units although when I replaced the one on the side of the head no water came out, not sure if that is correct or not. It has Air con if that makes a difference Any thoughts.

  hi can any one help my rad fans done not work if i pull off the brown conector next to the temp sender they will run at low speed have checked all the fues my car has air con as well and it does not run as well any help would be nice thanks ps it is a turbo phase two diesel

  I have an 02 mazda 6 ts diesel estate with standard air-con. It has terrible problems with misting/condensation and I've tried pretty much every possible combination with the heating/ventilation/recirculation etc but always end up having to open the window and/or have the heating on full blast.

  Just got a petrol 2L p reg estate V40 The engine temp is digital but today while sitting still it went to 97c The fan wasn't on to my knowledge. I popped the bonnet and flicked air con on and one fan started. What temp should the other one cut in at? Andy

  I've narrowed my choice to replace my rather unreliable Octavia (broken air-con after 6 months - not covered under warranty - and an exhaust that rattles like a samba) with a used Mondeo Mk3 1.8 - at around 4 years old these are amazingly cheap at about £3.5k. Question is, why are they so cheap - is there something wrong with them ?

  hi i have a 99 vectra v reg.and the temp goes quite high there are two fans one in front and one behind the rad. how can i test both of the fans are running correctly.i think one is for the air con, but whitch one and some one has told me they have differant speeds on them ......so can some one tell me how to test each one . many thanks dave

  Needs to be slightly bigger than the 306 but due to drive size not any bigger than a Vectra. All I want really is decent perfomance and air con. Just for idea's I have been looking at the Toyota Avensis and the Mitsubishi Charisma. Thanks

  I've been looking at a friend's Golf IV to replace my maligned Corolla ... but, when you either accelerate hard at low speeds, or bleed off speed below 30mph, there's a funny rattling noise from the rear of the car (can't work out where, though). Any ideas, anyone ? How much should I pay for a 2002 1.6 3-Door, BTW ? (with Air-con)

  I have a T-reg vectra 2.0di estate,air-con,70k miles and well maintained.I am going abroad for up to a year and the car will be kept in a secure,dry,lock-up. Any advice on what to do in the way of preparation before storage so that the car will be pretty well ready to drive out in a years time ???

  hi i have been offered a 2000 x reg 2 litre vectra hatch gls with 81 k on the clock it a ex fleet car with full history how can i check the air con in this cold weather. does this car suffer from cam belt problems that is mentioned elsewhere on this site. what would the expected mpg be mainly on a run no town work really. any other views or advice on this car most most welcome thanks rob

  I am trying to find out whether other owners are experiencing similar problems with the newer (2000 models) versions of this car. I am having numerous intermittent faults appear on the dashboard panel such as malfunctioning air con, cruise control, ESP, ABS etc etc They often disappear when the car is stopped and re-started but th ESP returns after a while. Any ideas what might be causing the problems, are they known? thanks

  Any recommendations for a used budget 'luxury' car - auto/air con/leather for about 9K? I took a look at a Mazda Xedos 6 (gets a good write up from HJ) in a dealers the other day - thankfully I saw it before the valeters. Interior stank of smoke, tyres were marginal and the alloys looked as though they'd never been cleaned!

  There would be totaly new version of Jazz soon, or would be just another face lift? Here Jazz with nice level of equip cost 11880 EUR (I think SE level (CD, Automatic Air Con, 2 air bags, trip computer, 14" steel wheels..) 2. Ford Focus II 1.4 Trend level of equim. (alloy, trip comp, manual air con, CD, 4 airbag, ESP) I can get this for 13200 EUR (or 12600 without ESP).

  Hi, we recently bought what is supposed to be a 2009 VW Polo 1.2 Match 60. I have since seen other VW Polo Match's and they all have air con, our one doesn't. I have checked on Parkers site and air con is supposed to be standard on the Polo Match. CD multichanger is supposed to be standard too and we haven't got that either but we do have all the other things that it's supposed to have like electric heated door mirrors, alloys etc.
