  It's up for auction in COYS Spring Classics auction in London, next week. The 512 Testarossa, bought new by Sir Elton, is one of 40 cars going under the hammer at the Royal Horticultural Society, Lindley Hall, on Tuesday March 12th. The Ferrari only covered a 1812 miles in Elton's ownership but very impoertantly was always subject to an annual service.

  The Duke bought his car in 1939 with a 569L straight-four side-valve engine, with a manual gearbox and in right-hand drive. The car has covered just 1593 miles in 77 years. During the Second World War, the Topolino was transferred to the Duke’s Dublin estate while the Westminster ancestral country estate at Eaton Hall in Cheshire was used as a hospital.

  Most enthusiasts dream of finding a ‘brand new’ unregistered example of their favourite car tucked away somewhere – but for MkI Cortina fans it’s now reality thanks to this 1964 four-door 1500 Deluxe, complete with automatic transmission. On the market via Cambridge Smart Cars, this unrestored Cortina has never been registered for road use and to date has covered just 58 ‘delivery’ miles.

  A supercharged 1938 Bugatti Type 57C Aravis cabriolet with coachwork by Gangloff sold for £1.5 million. But the car that exceeded its estimate most was a 2007 Ferrari 599GTB in virtually as-new condition. One of 20 delivered new to the USA, it had covered 3800 miles. It sold for £450,000 - more than double its upper estimate.

A study from price comparison website moneysupermarket.com has found that the average cost of an initial cover deal for a man is around £2,841, while a woman pays approximately £1,200 less.

  VAT free gives customers a discount of 20% off the list price of a new Suzuki – equivalent to the 20% VAT rate.   Suzuki has announced the GV 1600 hard top and soft top which replace the Grand Vitara 2000 in the UK. Looks are similer and construction on a tough ladder frame chassis continues. The cars have power steering, twin airbags, electric windows, central locking, radio/cassette player, immobiliser, halogen headlamps, hard spare wheel cover and a high mounted central rear brake light. The engine is an all alloy 1.6 single cam unit putting out 92.5bhp and 102 lb ft torque at 4,000rpm.
