• Renault Clio - Water leak, Renault/RAC unable to find 25 Jun 2019 (Forum)
    Finally, i was sent away from Renault with them telling me that their was no fault and my car was OK, Plus the fact that renault wanted me to pay to change the water coolant.   Not a happy renault customer at the moment Any help, advice or tips would be great   Malc  
• Renault Clio Campus Sport 1.2 (56 Reg) - Looking to sell, but I've lost my service history 11 Nov 2012 (Forum)
  Is there anything I can do to rectify the fact I have no service book? I was thinking perhaps if the previous owners had it serviced at an official Renault garage then Renault might have the service history details stored somewhere electronically. I'm obviously anxious that I might lose a lot of value in my car by not having the service book, so any ideas would be appreciated!

  There is absolutely NO way I can afford this and I have asked the dealers to ring Renault and find out if they can do this work or at least contribute to the cost as it is a known fault (wish I'd known before I bought it!!). Does anyone know how likely Renault are to do this for me? I'm at my wits end and I really don't know what to do.

  Going to look at a Grand Scenic 1.9 dCi tomorrow (private sale), and just wondering how the Renault warranty works in its third year. The car we're looking at is a 54 plate (October reg) with 35k on the clock and a full Renault service history. Therefore, I assume it is still under manufacturer's warranty until October.

  Wonder if anyone could help out on this one for me. I have an R reg Renault Scenic 1600 with the K7M engine, ally head, cast block. I bought the car with supposedly the head gasket gone, should have been no problem for me to sort as I am an ex Renault technician. I have changed the head gasket and the head twice ( I have changed the head, to make sure there was no internal crack in the head).

  As far as the lease terms go I would have to pay three months 1st payment for each contract. eg: Renault 3 + 11 & Saab 3 + 23. In other words in 12 months time I'll have to pay another 3 months to start a new contract. I do like the Saab for a feel good image (ok, call me a snob) but the Renault is packed with goodies though I am concerned about it being a gutless wonder.

  Most recently the car now suffers from a lack of 'pull' in the lower gears 1st, 2nd and 3rd but appears fine at 50mph upwards. Any thoughts? Can you recommend a independent Renault specialist local to Reading? Many thanks Equilibrium

  My daughter's car (2010 Renault Modus with 90,000 miles in very good condition) has been scratched by another car - she got the details. If she makes a claim against the other driver's insurance, I am concerned it might affect her insurance premium when she renews, as she will been "involved in an accident" (however minor, and not her fault).

  Long anticipated first time in and drive today of the new Renault 5. I wanted one before I saw it, and that desire has now increased. I’ve only driven it for 20 minutes, in a test track environment, but I’ll be spending longer in one in February. I think it’s a design joy, with enough details to recall the original 5, but not so much to be a pastiche of the 1970’s classic.

• Renault Clio II - clio ecu swap 10 Sep 2016 (Forum)
  I need to do an ECU swap on a clio 1.5dci (delphi)   I can download the old units data with clip and upload to the new unit but this does not transfer the immo coding so it won't start. Renault state that the ecu cant be have this data re-written but I'm hearing that it can be done although no one can tell me how !

  Hi I have just recently bought a Renault Grand Scenic which did not come with a radio code. I have now got this but it will only switch on when the lights are either switched on or come on automatically. Can anyone give me some idea of why it's doing this and what I can do to remedy the problem.
