Jeep Cherokee - Consumer rights with used car? 14 Feb 2015 (Forum)
I explained all of the above to him and he told me that he never said that at point of sale and that he had only changed the oil and oil filter and that I should have known that. He then began to shout at me and talk over me whilst I was trying to explain my dilemma and consumer rights. He then shouted at me to come and pay £1000 and he'll see me in court. I feel very shaken by the whole experience and do not wish to have any further dealings with that man. Can anyone point me in the right direction please? -

more money to be spent 30 May 2009 (Forum)
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8074947.stm The garage owner at the end of the piece has it right in my opinion, why spend even more money on something you dont need when your customers all come due to word of mouth. A piece of paper saying approved means nothing to me ,but can be used as a scare tactic by large franchised organisations to scare the punters into work that is often led by monetary need and bonus schemes rather than for the safety and benefit of the consumer. -

Ford Fiesta - Missing spare key and broken fog light glass 3 Jul 2019 (Forum)
Problems are: - no spare key - front passenger fog light is missing glass (bulb and unit are present) One friend has advised that the dealer should sort these, under Consumer Rights Act the car is not the quality it should be. And that with the missing glass, the car is not road worthy. If this is the case, how best is it to raise with the dealer and find a resolution?
