• Opinions on Rover 825 Coupe Sterling 28 Jul 2006 (Forum)
  The car in question is a Rover 825 Coupe Sterling Auto 1997 P reg. 102000 miles Full leathers,wood,air con etc (I think sterling is the top of range) What are the pros and cons of this model in the rear world? Any pointers I should look out for? Having never driven an auto what should I look out for?

  Restarts ok and ticks over ok.It sometimes does it after idling ok for a while as well. Also, when turning on the air con, the normal slight rise and fall in rpm, is sometimes 500 rpm or so. Recent coil pack change to cure continuous misfire 2 months ago. I have cleaned out the idle air valve a couple of times but I'm not sure that it had much effect.

  Hi on my Vectra 1.9 cdti Sri I have been using Aircon and car seems to lack power when Aircon is on also when I pull away it nearly stalls with Aircon on then when I switch car off after using Aircon there is a funny smell would air con need repair thanks

  Silly so and so's have missed the price point by £1500 as the introductory model is £12.500, no air con only steel wheels and a few other bits missing on a car that is as expensive as other discounted models elsewhere.

  Someone I know has a Mazda hatchback under a year old. The aircon has a leak so back it went. Mazda want a payment of nearly £200 for'special' air con gas to check the problem but won't do it under warranty. If it were me I'd be raising the roof but this person is unsure of how to proceed. Garage reckons 'a stone may have damaged the system'
• FIAT 500L - Fiat 500L tickover 5 Aug 2016 (Forum)
  I have a Fiat 500L I bought from the Car People on a 15 plate. It ticks over at 1250rpn with the air con on and 1000rpm without. The Car People say there is a soft where fault and take it back to fiat as it's still under warranty. Fiat say it's normal,  I don't think it is, anyone any ideas.

  Hello, got 406 hdi 110bhp 1999 reg, kicks out a fair bit white/grey smoke when accelerating, smoke appears around 2000rpm when the turbo starts. i'm not accelerating really hard - just driving normally. is it a big deal to get the turbo serviced and is it expensive? Also, mpg getting worse (air con is off). is this related? thanks

  Please could any bright spark enlighten me as to the additions included with the Classic SE package to the previous generation A Class. I believe standard Air Con was one thing, however would be keen to know anything else above the regualr Classic package. Thinking of picking up a LWB version (Cargiant have plenty of examples) Many thanks.

  I want to change our car, it's a t reg nissan primera gx estate, 99,000 miles broke air con and a dent on offside passenger door which needs banging out and respraying. Is it worth me fixing the faults before trading it in or going to somwhere that will give you £1500 minimum trade in, or taking it to auction.

  I'm looking to buy a new Picasso that must have Air-Con. The best I've found is 10,090 on the road for a brand new one but first regisered 02.....Soe I will be first owner but Car was registered Aug02.... Is this a good deal or can sum one save me monie...Please Advise Look forward to hearing of a Cheaper Picasso......

  Any thoughts on the following would be appreciated. My Audi A4 recently had it's a/con evaporator replaced - independent dealer had to remove dash as far as bulkhead to get to it - but did NOT remove steering wheel or airbag or sensor unit. (no passenger airbag) Ever since I got the car back (2 weeks ago) the air bag warning light takes around 2 mins to go out after starting the car.

  I noticed the other day that there was very slight spillage of water dripping from under the car. The Air Con is OFF when I'm driving it, so i'm not sure what could be the reason for this. Also, The outside temp in the dash monitor reads 17 degrees, however, on the the manual setting I have set as 21 degrees, but it still blows out cold air from vents.

  For some reason all of the switches below the heater fan controls (air recirculation, air con and heated rear window) have all suddenly stopped working as has the actual heating (i.e. turning the heater temperature control has no effect), fuses are all OK. The fan control still works fine, flaps open/close OK, heater matrix seems OK.

  Scanner is telling me the ECT is 210degF so presume fan should kick in long before that. Finally, does the coolant switch have any control over the air con fan function? theres a single fan that does the AC and the rad cooling,. thanks in advance!
