Crashed Pagani Zonda, would you beleive it! 29 Mar 2010 (Forum)
In this case the driver is professional racing driver, surely someone who knows this by instinct, and who would moderate his driving according to the tarmac condition beneath him, bhe reading the road ahead, noting hazards and driving accordingly. It was not the "road that caused the crash", it was the driver not recognising the hazard presented. -

Toyota Yaris II/Vitz (2006 - ) - Headlights did not switch off automatically! 14 Dec 2007 (Forum)
The AA man stated that "nothing ever goes wrong with Toyotas - it must be a flat battery". I then remembered that I had used my headlights as it was dark and rainy on the morning drive to work and as I was a little late dashed out of the car the moment I got to the car park. The car started instantly with the AA booster battery. On the drive home, I realised that the last time this happened to me was over 20 years ago, driving a 1975 Ford Escort Mark II. -
Reversing into driveways - surely safer? 2 Dec 2007 (Forum)
The neighbour in the house opposite reversed her car out of the drive and straight into the side of his car (the same neighbours who park opposite our drive!) causing substantial damage. There was no excuse for this, with minimal care and attention, the car could have reversed out quite easily without causing damage. -
M-Way Madness - Empty Inside Lane! 6 Nov 2005 (Forum)
Hi ,just been driving down the infamous A3 and M25 in surrey today and have been making casual notes to the standard of driving on this stretch of road ,which sadly reflects any major A-road or motorways in Britain. Without sounding like a grumpy old git,the goverment needs to do something before we end up in grid lock. -
Rewarding courteous driving 21 Aug 2003 (Forum)
However, on the appropriate occasions, be courteous, and 'reward' courtesy with a friendly wave, nod, smile, R-L-R-indicate or whatever. My theory is this: If a small number of road users can encourage others to drive more forgivingly by 'rewarding' safe and considerate driving in this small and simple way, perhaps it is possible that it will catch on, and the road will become a safer and less stressful place for everyone.
