  Hi everyone, I have what seems to be a common problem which is my radiator fans won't stop running, slowly, (both of them) even with the ignition key off and the engine cold and air-con off.   (If I try to turn the air-con on the econ light stays on and I'm unable to turn econ off.) But I don't care about the air-con, all I want is the cooling system AND THE FANS to be operational, at least for now.

  hi all, the fan only works on my fiesta on number 4. 1,2 or 3 have no response. it will blow hot and cold and air con works on number 4. is this a blower rsistor problem or something far worse??

  Is that price a fair price? I know nothing about cars, at all. It has SH, last serviced at 134k, cambelt changed then too. Air con and leather seats, P reg TDI. How long is it going to last, providing I take care of it??! Thanks

  Hi all, My 1997 Escort Ghia X 1.8 has developed a noise and vibration when the air con is used. It is a very dull, low pitched noise, almost like a fan, accompanied by a vibration which can be felt thru the floor/steering etc. Any ideas?? PP

  When using the air con or not I have a smell emitting from the air system, sometimes the windscreen steams up. My local garage has advised me that the cost for this is around £100.00, this indicates to me that this is a relatively small job and possible within my capability?

  Can someone please help with this problem which has affected my partner,s car since she left the recirculated air control permanently on for several months. The air con man has tried everything including smoke bombs etc to no avail. HJ recommended putting the heater on full just before switching off which helped a little but the problem continues but only when the car is first used.

  We've had a fault with our air conditioning which has now been fixed but I'm not sure if we're being charged for something that we shouldn't have to pay for. Our local garage replaced the pressure sensor but the air con still did not work.

  Just bought a 2001 Micra Activ. This is a special edition that has central locking, air con and NATS alarm system. Unfortunately, there is no user manual with the car. A couple of questions.: 1) When the car is switched off and locked up, there is a red light flashing every 3 seconds, to the left of the Air Con switch.

  The local Toyota dealer is advertising an ex demo 55 reg 1.0 Colour Collection with 935 miles on the clock for £7495. They have added air con and alloys. The What Car Target Price is £7277. I think the air con & alloys would come to about £1000, but do you think £7495 is a bit steep considering it has been driven by god knows who and there is a new model coming out 1st Jan?

  my sons ford ka air con as never worked and the pipe is broke at the front, now the belt runs the pump and it has got very noisy and hot.Can you fit a smaller belt off a ford ka without ac on and bypass the ac pump .thank you

  I have a rattle coming from the alternator end of the engine its not the alternator though as this checks out ok. but from adjacent area. sounds like the air con but I know this is off. Burge

  My BiL needs to re-gas the Air Con on my old 3 series...he has had an offer from a BMW dealer to have it done for £94.00 including gas and VAT. Is this a good deal ?. Apparantly the menu price is in the region of £164.00. Would he better getting quotes from an indie?

   Removed the dampness every night by wiping down all windows with a cloth and then removing the cloth from the vehicle every time. 3.  Air con off and air con on does not improve the problem (I do not have air circulation on). 4.  Coolant levels have not decreased over the past couple of weeks so there does not seem to be a leak there.

  Hi, I've got a 2000 W plate Omega 2.5 V6 CDX which has climate and air con. My problem is that when the heater is on, the only vents that blow out hot air are the rear ones!! That obviously shows the heater matrix is working and that the car is arriving at the correct running temperature at some point.
