  Its a conventional hatchback type opening boot, but within that there is a "hatch" which pulls backwords, similar to the boots in the original Minis (I am not going to get your attention putting boots and minis in same sentence!) This way, instead of opening the full boot, you can just simply open this small hatch, throw something in and close again.

  Earlier this year on a windy January afternoon I was side swiped swiped by a mini bus on a duel carriageway. I was overtaking the mini bus and as I came level with the bus the road bent to the right and it cut the corner The Driver claimed she was pushed off course by a gust of wind Now the insurance company wants me to accept that the bus driver was not to blame and to accept that I should be liable for the damage to my car - about £1200 to my RX8 - which will result in my loosing no claims discount of 20%.

  She phoned up to see how much it will cost, looking forward to it being a bit cheaper. Well no, it's an additional £64!!!!!! For some reason a mini cooper D is a group 12 in their books, the adviser basically told her that the insurance group varies from insurer to insurer. I never knew this??? As far as I was concerned a mini cooper D is a group 8, and should have been cheaper to insurance or at the very least the same price, not more!!!!!!

  Hi guys, I posted to this forum a couple of weeks ago explaining I was shocked that the Internet has very little about the all new Mini Cooper SD. I collected the New Mini Cooper SD & the other half picked up her new Cooper, I must say both cars are great, the Cooper (1.5 litre turbo) sounds nice and has lots of poke too, she is averaging around 38 MPG and I'm averaging around 50 MPG (both being driving normally) But, I will provide you with more detail on my Cooper SD as the internet is lacking exactly that, I will be honest and remain as impartial as possible.
