  I bought a 2008 Laguna estate in June from a Renault main agent. About three weeks later I noticed a water ingress problem, which I believed to be the sunroof. I contacted the dealer who told me to take it to my local Renault agent to have it repaired and to invoice them.

  You got it 'steering fault'  So we got the AA out who plugged in their machine and confirmed it's the steering motor so needs a new column. Back to Renault we go. Renault are now saying that this didn't show on their system and we need a new steering column but have yet to give us a price. The AA have said this should of come up on Renault's diagnosis and unsure as to why it didn't.

Renault key cards - IMPORTANT INFORMATION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------- As of 4 June 2006 You will NOT be able to buy a new keycard from Renault without supplying the VIN number and proof of ownership of the vehicle.

  Last week did the same and dealer states"it's a known issue which is not repairable you need to speak to Renault" spoke to Renault who said yes we have no leg to stand on we will replace with a brand new 2016 free of charge.I was amazzes that they stated this but none the less its a recorded conversation Today they say your car is now only worth £2000 because of this fault and we need you to pay £9500 to get you a replacement car!

  Overall this was a fine 'small' car, I would certainly give the Clio serious consideration if looking in this sector. For me it's too small a car, I wish Renault still imported the Laguna into the UK as I would get one of those without hesitation.

  One additional problem is that the gearbox was supposedly fixed earlier this year by a non Renault garage and they obviously made a right hash of it. I can't see that I have any real claim against Renault this time, although it should never have happened in March to a 5 year old car. A properly made gearbox should last longer than 5 years."

  There is no Haynes manual for this car, so I was wondering whether the engine is similar/same as another Renault model? The plugs for this model are v. expensive - any ideas on how long I can leave them in for? Any tips re tricky things to look out for? Many thanks :-)

  I have a N reg renault clio 1.4 RT that will not start, the fuel pump relay cuts in on initial cranking but then cuts out, sometimes the engine attempts to start up but then stops. I removed the air box, cranked the vehicle and shorted the relay and found no fuel to be injecting in.

  Both of my keys have ceased to lock the car (they both open it - at least for now). Can they be mended by splitting the cards or would this ruin them? Is there a Midlands Renault dealer who won't rip me off to sell and code a new one? Another golden oldie - brought up to date

  Hello my friend has had a timing belt go on his 1.8 petrol renault scenic. Just wondering whether its total carnage or could it just be top end damage. He said he was doing about 40mph when it went. Does anyone know if the 1.8 laguna engine is the same as the one for the scenic as ive been told it is.

  i have got this fault code coming up p1431 the car is a renault grand scenic 1.9 dci 2006 i have had the particulate filter changed also the turbo actuator replaced the car was running fine for a week and now there is no power it wont go over 50 anybody got any ideas...

  Hi    I live in France, and am compareing two different cars. Which is the better deal?   A 2010-2011 Renault Megane III Auto  with 8000-30000KM (there a several for sale) hence the spread. Cost is about 14500 EUROS or VW GOLF 5 GT with DSG. 36000KM for 13500 EUROS.   Which is the better?

  Hi there  i have a renault traffic van and the  window wiper  control lever is not working, i am going to change this out with a new one .i have not ordered the part yet . do you need to take the steering wheel off to change this lever or does it just bolt on from the side.
