  Climate Control Audi A6 does anyone know if it is possible to change the temp for each zone by just using the drivers control instead of adjusting both sides seperatly, as I drive mostly on my own this is a pain, I know it can be done in the A4 but can it be done in the A6.

  can any one tell me if £ 288 is the correct price for a mass air meter for an audi A4 1.9TD-110 1998-SE for finding and repairing the fault at a main dealer.They quoted £199 for the part the rest is for fitting.I had a fit at the price did anyone have the same responce.

  I now have some cash to buy a cheaper convertible too. I'm wondering what you all think about BMW 3 Series versus Audi A4, versus Audi TT, (all petrol models).? Had an old TT previously and loved it but it's very thirsty, as is the A4. Beamer better on fuel and tax but about £2k more expensive initially, which I will struggle to find.

  Late models audi vw etc  how to rev engine to check smoke emissions for mot test.Have done several lately and engine will not rev above 1000 revs so smoke meter cannot detect  emissions. Earlier  vans Merc vito I think gave instuctions to overide anti rev system but I have been unsuccessful with audi and vw.

  Insurance company said its impossible to flat spot tyres with ABS and implied that I'd done it doing a handbrake turn (I'm 46 and drive an Audi A4 TDI for heavens sake!) which blatantly isn't true.  Audi also pointed out that you cant handbrake turn this particular model because the of the handbrake configuration. Any help appreciated, I dont want to cough up for new tyres!

  A friend of mine has a audi a3 1.8 sport 1999 and the ABS light comes on occasionally, it always goes away again, she had a VAG diagnostic test done and the fault code was something like no power to abs brakes, so the garage who did it cleared the fault code and for a while it did not come on, then recently its starting to come on again, she wanted to know is there any common faults with ABS on audi A3's?

  Hi, I own an Audi A4 1.9tdi (90), 2000my, which is on the audi long life servicing schedule. Can anybody tell me of an alternative oil to CASTROL EDGE TURBO DIESEL 5W-40,which is the manufacturer recommended oil? At the dealer prices, it would cost more for the oil than it would for the service kit that i need.

  Hi Can anyone offer any advice? I have a 2006 Audi A4 with a single cd concert 2 stereo installed. I would like to install an audi 6 cd changer in the glove box. However, I do not know if the concert 2 stereo supports cd changers? Also, how complicated is it to install the cd changer (if possible) and connect it to the back of the concert 2?

  I got a 98 petrol Audi A4 recently and it was fine at low speeds and around town, but when I took it on the motorway and tried to increase the speed or the revs go above 2500 the car lurches as if it has fuel starvation.

  I am trying to decide betweeen the above vehicles at about the £17,000 price point. It appears that a 52 or 03 Audi A4 convertible 2.4 sport with around 50k can be had for this money or a 2001 BMW 325 ci convertible with 60k or so. I am torn between the two options. The audi seems to get good write ups but I do quite fancy the BMW I have read the car by car breakdown and find that neither have any particular skeletons in their closets.

  A few niggles that some of you may be able to help with on my audi a6 avant 2.7T (1999) Noise while braking...sounds like a grinding noise. Had it serviced (non dealer 140k) and rear disks replaced but the noise is still there. Is it brakes or something more sinister.... ...can anyone recommend a reliable non dealer audi specialist for servicng in portishead,bristol,swindon areas?

  I had an Audi dealership look at it when it was in getting a service recently. They ran out of time, but had already worked out that the switches under the pedals are OK, as is the vacuum system. Can it be something as simple as the actual switch?

  - It has to be good on French motorways when doing 80mph. Is it worth buying the more expensive Audi "AO" branded tyres which have modified treads specially for Audi cars or is this a gimmick ? In the past I have always bought Michelin but perhaps there is better for this car ?? Thanks !

  It has main dealer service history up to 100K miles and then had a service at 120Kish at a local independant VAG specialist. The !Service! indicator has just flashed up now at 143K. Am I reasonable in expecting Audi to rectify this? I thought they were galvanised and didnt expect to be dealing with rust so soon.

  I need a new cam belt + bits for my 56000 mile Audi A4 1.9TDi which will be nearer 60000 miles when I get the job done. During the warranty period I had services done at a main dealer I found OK (nowhere near London, but convenient when combined with family visits) and failing finding a decent independent - it might be the same main dealer again.
