  Top sale honours went to a rare, Bloomington Gold Certified 1959 Chevrolet Corvette (above) 'Big-Brake' fuel-Injected Convertible that made $148,500. The black Corvette, one of only 142 built had been extensively restored and had complete owner history dating back to 1959. Taking the number two spot was a beautifully restored 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split-Window Coupe for $96,250.

  The top-selling diesel Tourer in the all-new Mazda6 range is predicted to be the 2.2-litre 150ps SE-L Nav, which has CO 2  emissions of 116g/km and combined cycle fuel economy of 64.2mpg.   The 2.2-litre diesel is complimented by a 3.0 V6 diesel with either 240PS or 275PS. Regardless of power output, emissions are the same at 163g/km, with fuel economy of 46mpg. Finally, a 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine will be offered in place of the old V8. This produces 340PS, with emissions of 224g/km and fuel economt of 30mpg. The finer details of trim levels and standard equipment will be announced nearer the cars introduction to showrooms – however you can expect the standard equipment list to be similar to the saloon model .

  Supermarket diesel prices drop again 27 Jul 2015 (News)
  The cost of diesel in June 2014 was, on average, 136.1 pence-per-litre. The latest fuel price reductions mean the cost of filling a 40-litre diesel tank is around £9 lower today than it was in June 2014. Additionally diesel is currently cheaper than petrol at most supermarkets for the first time in several years.
