FIAT - Van Radio cutting out after 20 minutes 15 Aug 2007 (Forum)
In the FIAT - Peugeot based vans, the radio will work without the ignition key being present, but only for 20 minutes and then it switches off. I dimly remember being told that this was a programming option and that it could be altered so that the radio never switches off. -

A couple of months ago I went to my local DVLA office and bought 12 months tax for my wifes newly bought Peugeot 307 1.4 hdi I was charged £50 and given the disc. How do I find out salvage values? 15 Nov 2006 (Forum)
Hi - my car is a write-off, and I need to know whether the salvage value that the insurance company is offering to sell me my car at is accurate or not. Any ideas? Its a 1995 Peugeot 306 XND with 176,000 on the clock. It has been serviced every 6k/6 months from new, and I want to hang on to it!!!! Do they negotiate if you think the price they're offering is too steep? Thanks! -

Xantias aren't bad are they? Provided the hydropneumatics are all working, it's basically robust Peugeot bits and pieces? -

406 radio removal and reception problem 20 Oct 2005 (Forum)
Can anyone tell me how to remove the Clarion cd/radio from a 99 Peugeot 406? Also, has anyone had any problems with intermittent radio reception on a 406,and what was the problem? I know it's not the aerial,as it,and the base have been replaced with brand new items,so I'm looking at maybe a fault with the tuner pack.If this is the case,(Clarion want nearly £100 to replace it,plus shipping to Swindon.)are there any alternatives? -
Vauxhall Senator-replacement. 24 May 2005 (Forum)
Must be big, comfortable, unloved (to keep the price down), relatively cheap to maintain and cheap spares so no luxury marques! Possibles are: Peugeot 607, Skoda Superb, Nissan QX. Price between 5-10K Any criticisms/suggestions welcome. Regards DougB. -
Car Servicing - France 17 Mar 2005 (Forum)
Picked up on this up via another thread - but with labour charges as they are in the UK, how about popping over the Channel for a dealer service? My local Peugeot main dealers (I live over here) charge 31? an hour for labour (that's a little over £20). A good independent around 25?/hour. Hop on a cheap day return, leave the car at the garage, have a good French lunch and then stock up with goodies. -

Deal is done... was it fair? 22 Feb 2003 (Forum)
Bought for £700 about 9 months ago 13000 tough miles (delivery driving) in 7 monthsthen near zero for the past 2 months Given the faults, was £600 a good price? It did have a CD player installed so lets say £550 if it had still had the original Peugeot-fit tape deck. -
Car names 1 Nov 2002 (Forum)
Now in this world of highly prized trademarks, a car's name seems to be very important and manufacturers are keen to protect them. I seem to remember Peugeot and BMW having a disagreement as some of the numbers each company use were in danger of clashing. I only know (but am sure there are more examples) of a name being used by more than one manufacturer. -
