Ford C-MAX - Is there a cure for misting Ford headlights 28 Mar 2015 (Forum)
I recently bought a one year old Ford Cmax Titanium X from my local Ford dealership and have been unable to resolve a problem of misting headlights. They mist up after a run if the car is parked in rain or is washed, or it’s a cold day. -
Nissan Primera 1.8 SE Petrol (2003) - Won't start - battery or alternator...or other? 20 Jul 2013 (Forum)
I drove the car for about 18 miles last night with no problems, but apart from that it's not been used much over the past few weeks as the weather has been more suitable for my Vespa. It's the original battery in the car so at ten years old it's probably due a change, but are there likely to be any other causes? -

Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate - Any quality car with comfortable 5th adult seat? 28 Apr 2012 (Forum)
I finally felt I could escape MPV world as my older teenagers don't squabble as they did as children. So I bought a 5 year old e class estate avantgarde 220cdi but I am disappointed in the quality of the mid rear seat which is uncomfortablly shaped for more than a 30 mins car journey, the car is great in most other respects but this is making me think I must change again. -

Jaguar XK8 and XKR (1996 - 2006) - 97 4.0 adding GPS tracker - what connections to 1 18 May 2011 (Forum)
Or to an ignition-switched +12v ? The former will ensure a topped up battery-backup, but may deplete the car's battery. The latter will obviously only charge the tracker when the engine is running. I do have an 'old' tracker fitted to my other car (MX5, connected to permanent +12v) but that plus the alarm will deplete the car's battery within 5 days. -

Volkswagen Golf Plus (2005 - ) - 09 1.4 New car protection 'pack' offered by dealer 12 Oct 2009 (Forum)
They say it is advisable with newer eco-friendly water-based paints. "You will never have to wax your car." The process takes the garage an extra couple of hours during final valeting before I collect it. I always had Rovers before and never had to wax them, yet the paint stayed in good condition and my 9 year old car is still glossy. -

Skoda vRS vs other cars 18 Sep 2008 (Forum)
I need some advice (no flaming please!). We have decided to replace my wife's car and would like something quick but reasonably economical. Preferably to buy used (up to 1 year old, 10000 miles) costing no more than £14k. The Skoda Octavia VRS 2.0T FSI would seem to fit the bill. -
Other child leaning out of window 21 Jul 2007 (Forum)
Had to put two grandchildren in daughter's car in a supermarket car park the other day. Didn't want to, but got stuck with it, not best pleased. Thought I'd never find the car among the thousands, but it was easy to spot. On a yellow line by the entrance to the supermarket with flashers going, looking to put it politely like something rescued from a breaker's yard. -
how difficult is it to buy a new car !!! 19 Jun 2007 (Forum)
Today my wife & I drove round 4 dealers to get a price on hers & to get a replacement hopefully within weeks only to find that 3 out of 4 shook their heads in dismay at the 22 month old part exchange & to be told that any model of car in any colour that I wanted to order would be September now as manufactures have stopped stock vast quantieties of cars! this is for one of the most popular makes of cars built! -
No more car hunting, hurrah! 28 Apr 2007 (Forum)
(which was my preferred choice) So I've bought her a 2005 54 Plate Hyundai Getz 1.3 GSi. Two years old with 26000m from a Hyundai dealer. It's got three years manufacturers warranty remaining and a years RAC recovery. Ended up p/xing the 02 reg Fiesta plus £800. Not the most dynamic of cars, but at least there's some piece of mind for the next three years. -
C2 for daughter's first car ? 29 Jan 2006 (Forum)
One a couple of years old probably. Anyone have any experience of the reliability of the C2 or aware of any issues with the car ? It looks like I'll pay £5k+ for one from a dealer with a warranty and I'm not that fussed about depreciation on this amount of dough because she'll likely keep it five years anyway. -
Advice on Trade In Please 7 Feb 2005 (Forum)
I agreed a trade in price for my old car with a Toyota dealer over the weekend. I have signed an order for a 2nd hand car and this includes details of my current car. I have also paid a deposit of £100. I have now discovered that I gave the garage the wrong info about my car - I told them it is was a Passat S but when I checked the V5 it turns out to be an SE. -
