Ancient 1.8 Diesel. - Engine oil 25 Nov 2016 (Forum)
My wife has an ancient Romahome camper van with a 1.8 diesel that I believe is a Peugeot, same as in a 205 I had many years ago. Advice needed please on engine oil, spec says 15W-50 mineral and I use this for top ups but the local auto shops say this is generally not available in small amounts, so what is the best alternative spec? -

Engine oil 18 Jan 2014 (Forum)
One of HJs articles in the Telegraph On-Line 5 Jan 2014, Peugeot 3008 - Petrol or Diesel, advises changing the oil every 10,000 miles or yearly. Does anybody leave that long between oil changes ? - that is, if they want to keep the car. -
Why will car drivers not reverse, incompetence? 15 Sep 2010 (Forum)
After a week in Cornwall, where my car appeared to be the only one fitted with a reverse gear, incl being asked to move my non blocking carefully parked car so as to prevent a 35 year old women "struggling" ( her words ) to reverse. She was driving a wee Peugeot & there was room for a people carrier. Ergo why was she allowed to pass her driving test? Scheesh -

Clutch slip 5 Apr 2010 (Forum)
Please forgive me if this is entered in the wrong place, but I would like to hear from anybody who has experience premature clutch failure on Citroen / Peugeot, I am only interested in 2.0 HDI (138) on a six speed gearbox. My family owns four C5's and we have had to replace three of these due to weak diaphragm springs NOT due to wear. Please reply to clutchfailure@yahoo.co.uk -

Hi there, Can you please tell me where I would find the fuel pump on a Citroen C5 HDi 2002 model? Is there a pump in the tank itself or is it under the back seat like in most Peugeots? If anybody has pictures / etc on how to replace one that would be a huge help Thanks. -

Red Riding - what's that car 13 Mar 2009 (Forum)
What is the car Sean Bean's character drives in the first episode, set in 1974? It's a big white convertible. I think it's a Peugeot 504 Convertible, but it sounds very throaty and V8 ish. Here's a clip. Lots of rude words, so (hopefully) the link is a cut and paste one. www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXyQqFREnQo&feature=related Thanks -

Mitsubishi Outlander II (2007 - ) - Did Clarkson get it wrong 4 May 2008 (Forum)
Road test was a 2.2 Diesel - he went on to mention VW with regard to the engine. IIRC the original 2.0 Diesel was VW and not liked but the new 2.2 is from Peugeot / Citroen and transforms the car. Looks like for quality information HJ & the DT is still the best place -

Aerotwin wiper blades 26 Apr 2007 (Forum)
Hello, I hope someone can offer some advice here.... Can anyone tell me how to replace the actual rubber in a bosch aerotwin wiper blade. I own a peugeot 307 and a whole new set of front replacement blades is going to cost me 50 quid, although I've seen some replacement rubbers for a fraction of that cost, although I'm not sure how to take the old rubbers out. -

car prices round the world 16 Mar 2006 (Forum)
For a little over four grand you can get a new entry level Hindustan Ambassador ( if I did the currency conversion correctly), only problem is getting it home. Any more bargains to be had worldwide? The Nigerian Peugeot 504 seems expensive at around £15K. What about other countries like China, Indonesia ? -
Double doors or hatch on vans? 19 Apr 2005 (Forum)
Some small vans and their car-derived versions (Peugeot Partner, for one) offer either double rear doors or a hatch. Leaving aside individual convenience, which is best? My first thought is that double doors are more likely to rattle and be prone to movement.
