  I bought a second hand one, which works fine but there is no display on the centre column screen. This is proving to be a real headache as the Sat Nav wont show up and the Air Con is now on all the time and I can not turn it off, Nissan want a hefty sum to look at it which is money I just don't have. Does anybody have an Idea as to why the screen wont come on and the air con wont turn off any help would be most appreciated.

  Even cruising at 70mph it is still noticeable, there is a very mild jerk, almost as if the engine loses power for a split second. The air con seems to cause the engine problems too, it idles at around 400rpm with air con switched on and the throttle is very slow to respond when I take my foot off it, then it jerks as the revs drop right off.

  I have recently been quoted £750 to repair the air con on my BMW 523 se auto. The refrigerant gas has leaked out from the expansion valve which is aparently situted behind the dashboard. This seems rather expensive !! Has anyone any experience of this and does it seem reasonable or should I get a second opinion from an indepenant specialist?

  Hi Let me start by saying I hate cars. I have an M reg 405 diesel estate with air con and temp. selection. according to the Haynes manual it's the later type heater which has sliders instead of rotary knobs. Ok here's my problem. If I put the temperature selector to cold the air con switches on but if I put it to hot only cold air blows.

  You recently commented on a question regarding servicing where you mentioned continuous use of air conditioning being better to keep it going. I had a 406 bought new in 2000 and i sold it late last year, I switched the air con on the day I took delivery and never adjusted it or turned it off all that time, I think I had it serviced once, not one problem arose.

  Bit of a heads up to others regarding air con pipe routing that may affect some Nissan Jukes, 2015 onwards. My Juke was 22 months old when I noticed aircon not working efficiently, so being mechanically adept, had a cursory look and discovered two air con pipes - close to the screenwash filler - had been chaffing, probably since new.

  I have a 2004 Saab 93 Vector(auto 2.0). Today the heating air fan and air conditioning have just stopped working. Meaning no air seems to be coming out at all ! I purchased the car in June 2013 and ever since I purchased the car there has been a clicking noise that came on for 5-10 seconds after I switched off the air con or heating fan.

  One could reduce the figure by saying, no need to buy a sunroof, but actually, it's not that great, and I've got my doubts I'll bother with a sunroof whatever I do. So is air con worth 1000 pounds? Usage. I know you need to exercise air con to keep the seals in good order, but with my pattern of usage, and the fact that in spring or autumn the ambient temperature does not need modifying, am I likely to have problems?

  Whils I was at the dealer regarding the air con condensation, I asked about the cause of the slightly uneven tickover, which occurs sometimes (mainly when starting from cold). It tends to run in little surges, basically, and is more noticeable when the air con is on.

  The speed setting number 2 has just stopped working on the air blower. Speed settings 1,3 & 4 still work as normal for both hot or cold air. Also the Air-con still works as normal. Any idea's if this would be an easy fix or would this be a job for the garage? Thanks for any suggestions.
