Landr Rover Discovery Sport 2.0 TD4 Manual HSE Lux - New Discovery Sport Fuel Economy 6 Feb 2016 (Forum)
Hi I have recently purchased a new Disco Sport with the new ingenium engine and I have been shocked at how poor the fuel economy is. I really Like the car but am avereaging only 34.2 miles to the gallon and the best I can get is 39 to 40 to the Gallon if I drive very, very sedately. Compared to the published data this is apalling. -

Mercedes Rescue QR codes 28 Oct 2014 (Forum)
I've just had my B class serviced and as part the work Mercedes are now applying QR code stickers to fuel flap and B pillar for the Mercedes Rescue system. In the event of an accident the fire service can scan the QR code and it retrieves all the construction data for the car so they can immediately make it safe by disconnecting battery, identify fuel lines, fuel tank, airbags etc. -

ANPR for fuel 13 Aug 2013 (Forum)
You would register your reg numbers and payment card with a central database that covers ALL companies issuing fuel. This being that the owner might not be the keeper. The ANPR would read the plate, let you fill up and then deduct from your account. That way the payment card and reg would have to marry with addresses registered on the database for both. -
2003 mercedes A class A170 cdi - Air bubbles in fuel line 25 Jun 2013 (Forum)
My wifes Merc has just started cutting out or just will not start. It starts if given a blast of easy start but this is not a solution. It may cut out after 5 minutes or it could run for a week without any trouble. When the problem occurs the clear plastic fuel pipe from the filter to the high pressure valve is just a constant stream of bubbles.I have replaced the filter and seals but the connector which connects the pipe to the filter is a pathetic flimsy plastic clip and only seems to seal if you push on it.At the moment it is held down tight with a couple of cable ties which seem to work ok, but I would appreciate comments from anyone who has or has had the same problem. -
Chrysler Voyager (2001 - 2004) - 2001 2.5 diesel stalling on hard acceleration 23 Feb 2013 (Forum)
Unable to start again for a few seconds. The starter turn over fast but nothing. Does it sound like fuel starvation or something more sinister i.e. expensive ????? No obvious signs of any loose vacuum pipes or leaking fuel. Dirty/Blocked fuel filter ?? Any advice gratefully received. Cheers -

Any - Coasting - HJ Daily Telegraph today 10 Sep 2010 (Forum)
With the somewhat elementary credential of a 40+ yr old Physics 'A' level I'm afraid I must disagree with HJ's opinion that coasting uses more rather than less energy. When the engine is 'idling', something has to keep it rotating whether it is fuel burning or part of the stored kinetic energy of the moving vehicle - which has originally been created by burning fuel. When I proceed in gear down a long shallow hill in the highest gear, the engine rotates at around 1,500 to 2,500 rpm. -
Citroen Despatch (2007 - ) - 02 2.0HDi Excessive fuel comsumption low temp 8 Feb 2010 (Forum)
I have brought a citroen dispatch in december 2.0l HDI, I am only doing roughly 30-35 miles on £10 of diesel, i have changed the fuel filter, glow plugs, thermostat and the expansion bottle cap due to it getting warm either? the van sits at 70degrees and takes a while to get to this roughly 5-8 miles. The van starts and drives good plenty of power and no smoke, i have had the van on a scanner and the only code was P1108 which is to do with the fan i believe. -

Ford Mondeo III (2000 - 2007) - 04 1.8 fitting a fuel pump feed pipe 13 May 2009 (Forum)
im having some issues with my car. its had to be towed to a dealer to be fixed. upon looking at it, they state that a pipe has rubbed through and sheared off some bolts. they say it will need a new pipe and the pipe they need to replace is on the nearside and it is the one that feeds the fuel pump. i dont have a problem with the diagnosis, but they were reluctant to answer my questions and i now have a bad feeling about it. they say it will take them 4 hours to fit the new pipe - cost £270 plus VAT and cost of parts will be £60. -
Ford Mondeo III (2000 - 2007) - 2004 2.0 TDCi fuel Consumption 10 Apr 2009 (Forum)
The onboard trip computer gives a very optimistic 47-50mpg readout, but the 40mpg is 'real' and found by a simple calculation of how many miles driven on a tankful of fuel. Anyone know how to re-calibrate the on board trip computer? -
Peugeot 307 SW (2002 - 2008) - 02 2.0 anti pollution fault 31 Mar 2009 (Forum)
I have a Peugeot 307 Rapier HDI diesel estate - I keep getting the anti pollution fault come up and twice in the last week the car has gone into safe mode while I was driving - after switching the engine off for a few mins the fault clears and car drives normally - my local garage has put the car on the computer and 3 faults have come up: Fuel Pressure Coherance short circuit, Fuel Pressure signal short circuit and Diesel High Pressure Flow Regulator short circuit to ground - last year I had the same problem but needed to replace the Fuel Pressure Regulator - is this going to be a very expensive ongoing situation - please help {typo in header corrected}
