BMW fans to gather at Gaydon 22 Jun 2017 (News)
More than 800 vehicles made the trip to Europe’s largest BMW gathering. Now orgainisers hope even more vehicles will make the trip to this year’s BMW Car Club National Festival on Sunday, 13 August. Cars on show will include a range of M-Power vehicles, Alpina, Z-cars, and MINIs, as well as modern, classics and modified models. Activities will include a large motor sport display area showcasing BMW Car Club track days, a rolling road, tombola and prize draw, family entertainment, Pirelli stand, Concours winners, trade stands, and lots more. Tickets cost £17 for adults, £10 for children (under fives go free) and £45 for a family. -

And as it’s based on date of manufacture rather than registration, a car registered in the first few weeks of ’77 could still be eligible – as long as its owner can prove the build date. To get your 1976 car reclassified as a Historic Vehicle, you’ll need to contact the DVLA and arrange for its taxation class to be changed.

Vauxhall opens doors to heritage 4 Aug 2014 (News)
Vauxhall will be showcasing its private collection of historic cars to the public for one day only on Sunday, 24 August. European new passenger car registrations fall 17 Apr 2008 (News)
There was a drop of 9.7 per cent in the number of new passenger cars registered in Europe last month, it has been reported. According to statistics from the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA), the biggest recorded fall came in Western Europe - where registrations were down by 10.2 per cent.
