  The Wall of Death enjoyed a new lease of life when it was rebranded the ‘Motordrome' and travelled around the country until the turn of the last century when it was packed away in storage and forgotten. It was rescued and revived by Cornwall-based ‘Dynomyte' Dave Seymour and his family who completely refurbished the historic wooden track in a meticulous three-year project, christening it The Demon Drome in the process.

  The cream E-Type Roadster disappeared and it was presumed lost for ever. However, by chance, an Englishman holidaying in Jamaica last year, was told of two old cars in storage on the island. He duly went to see them, finding a red E-Type coupe and the cream roadster. A deal was struck and the roadster was soon on its way back to the UK. It was only after he applied for a Heritage Certificate that he realised the car was no ordinary E-Type and had such a fascinating story to tell.

  By the close, motor cars in excess of £2 million had changed owners, with a 67% sale ratio and a significant UK record sale price scored for one consignment… The 1983 Lamborghini Countach LP500S was clearly the sale star, soaring to above twice its estimatein a bidding battle  to what is believed to be a UK auction record for this car, at £337,120 including commission and tax.   The car, that had been in professional storage for 23 years, quickly breached its £120,000-£160,000 pre-sale estimate, then rose inexorably on to its ultimate record sale price which was met with a round of applause. The Countach was amongst a broad mix of strong sellers, including a unique, no reserve 1969 Wood & Pickett Margrave Mini Cooper S, with a pop star provenance, that sailed to an altogether 'maxi ' sale price of £40,320.

  'Barn Found' Mercedes 250SL Makes Extraordinary Money at Barons Auction 18 Mar 2011 (News)
  The 1967 250SL was offered for auction in need of total restoration, although its long period of barn storage had been kind to it and it remained very sound throughout. Coming to auction from a deceased’s estate, the car was non-running and the keys had long-since been lost. Despite this, the generally sound condition and long period of single ownership fired the interest of collectors and with spirited bidding from buyers in the room and on the telephones the car was sold for a resounding £12,430.

  Over the years the keeper has had the car restored from the ground up but has seen very little use since recently completing the works. The car is only now offered for sale due to loss of storage. Estimate: £35,000-£45,000. The 1970 Jaguar E-Type S2 roadster has been the subject of a ground-up, nut and bolt restoration, with not a part of the car remaining untouched. It has lived in the same Hampshire town for 43 of its 44 years, and has covered less than 2,000 miles since undergoing restoration in 2004.
