  • Prices Reasonable at Auction Today 19 Nov 2004 (News)
This 20k mile 2000W example seemed to run okay with no sign of the head problems that can afflict the 4.0 litre Speed Six, but the trade is now wary of these cars so top bid was a low £15,900. X5s are now old enough to start getting sensible and top bid for a 39k mile 2000X 4.4 Sport was £22,400. While a 31k mile 2001/51 Porsche Boxster 2.7 Tiptronic bid to just £22,100.
  • Another Cheap Day at Auction 31 May 2004 (News)
Private buyers flocked to Blackbushe today and plenty of them drove home in bargains. The Citroen C3 Pluriel in the photo was only a couple of months old, with just 1,000 miles on the clock and everything working, just the rear tonneau missing. Top bid was £7,250 by a well known trade buyer. However, today being the last day of the month the Bank of Scotland and Lex cars were reserved to sell and Hall 1 was where the real bargains were.

A new-shape eleven month old X reg Mondeo 1.8LX with a fairly hefty 24,000 miles bid to £8,500, which matched £8,950 for the 15,000 milers in the Ford sale on Tuesday.

  • Ford and Fiat miss out on top Euro NCAP safety ratings 3 Mar 2017 (News)
Land Rover's new Discovery also scored five stars, but in the frontal offset test the driver airbag bottomed out due to insufficient pressure. The recent facelift of the now ten year old Fiat 500 received just three stars, despite the fact it was awarded a five star rating when first tested in 2007. This is, in part, down to more rigorous testing implemented in 2009 which changed the way cars are assessed.
