Icelandic driving 16 Oct 2008 (Forum)
Hi all, We're heading off to Iceland soon for a long weekend - staying in Reykjavik but hiring a car and heading up to probably at least Gullfoss and other parts of the golden ring(?) Just been reading up on driving in Iceland and it doesn't look like Kansas, Dorothy. Can anyone give me some reassurance, hints or horror stories about driving up there, we're keeping off the F-roads that much is for sure! Thanks Lee -
If someone else want to drive my car... 23 Aug 2007 (Forum)
If someone else (eg friends, relatives etc.) wants to drive my car [1] Is it my responsibility to ensure they have proper insurance? [2] Do I have a legal obligation to see proof of their insurance to drive my (any other) car? [3] If they lie to me that they had cover (while they had not really) and then met an accident with my car, am I liable to be prosecuted? -
Uncomfortable driving position 10 Jul 2007 (Forum)
I drive 30,000miles a year mainly on motorways on my weekly commute between Worthing and Birmingham. The driving position on my Peugeot 607 is really now beginning to cause me problems. I have tried all of the seat adjustments but my backside seems to be sinking into the apex of the seat, it appears to be getting worse over time. -

Can Renault HIDs dip for left hand drive 9 Jun 2007 (Forum)
Is it possible to make the HID lights fitted to Renaults dip for continental driving? I know that some makes have a lever on the back of the fitting but I can't see any obvious thing on my Clio 3. I intend to drive at night both laden and unladen and the self levelling device makes a mockery of ant attempt to accurately blank out light with tape. -

Driving Schools 20 Aug 2004 (Forum)
Before summer ends (summer being used in the most metaphorical sense....) and the bad weather starts, I'd like to get some tuition on driving in adverse weather conditions (ice, snow, etc). I have no idea where to start looking - I shouldn't imagine it's covered by regular driving instructors - so can any of the BR crowd recommend a place to start? -

Driven tonight 12 Apr 2002 (Forum)
What did you think of the Boot Camp driving school ? Although those drivers probably gained some good skills i dont think it will improve thier road driving skills. The ability to drive amongst traffic is more demanding than some cones on a test course. -

Drink-drive limit for cyclists. 14 Feb 2008 (Forum)
Is there an absolute drink-drive limit for cyclists, or is their limit, as I think, "any amount as long as they can still control their bicycles properly", and that the "breathalyser" does not apply to them. Perhaps this should be in IHAQ - if so, apologies. -
