Homepage / Latest Reviews - no new content 20 Aug 2020 (Forum)
but scrolling down the new A3 Sportback review, I was amused to see that included as one of its top three rivals is the Peugeot 308 (alongside the Mazda3 and the Merc A-Class), but the BMW 1 Series isn’t even mentioned! Can’t see too many people who want a German ‘premium’ badge settling for a Pug 308. -
Mini One - Buying Approved Used Car 3 Jul 2020 (Forum)
Hi everyone, I’m new here to this forum. I’m interested in buying an approved used Mini from an official BMW mini dealer. one thing that I’m a bit concerned about is the MOT. when I check the government website to check last MOT, it says that the MOT expired in 26 July 2019 and that the last MOT was done in July 2018. -

Replacing my old ST-2 3 May 2020 (Forum)
Hi, so I was going to replace my old 09 ST-2 this summer but with current events it might be next year now, however I have been looking at various cars and have narrowed it down to. Audi A4-quattro 2.0l or possibly the V6 Diesel Jag XE 2.0 AWD BMW 3 series X Drive 330i or the equivalent Diesel Ideally the car will have equal to or better fuel economy than the ST and be able to carry 2 adults and a child in a car seat in the back for occasional short trips. -
Honda Jazz - Wife needs reliable, economical automatic car! 1 Feb 2020 (Forum)
Nissan note - not sure how these compare to the Jazz. Are they reliable and good on the motorway? BMW 320i 170 bhp, has decent fuel economy. Is there any other cars you would recommend? -
Choosing new car due to coming clean air zone 18 Mar 2019 (Forum)
Jan 2020 there will be a clean air zone in the area within the ring road. I currently have a 2008 bmw 123d. The new legislation would mean I pay £8 a day to drive through the city centre tunnels, the best route for me to the M6. diesel cars from 2015 (euro6) and petrol cars from 2005 (euro4) are exempt from this tax. -
A Growth Industry 5 Jun 2017 (Forum)
We have a big store carpark near us that has spaces that simply will not accomadate the SUVs that go there they are now overlapping into the next bay making that one unavailable, in the same place having parked myself the next space was taken by a BMW X5 who having parked could not open the doors to get out, the owner exited by the tailgate ! but that hardly helps those parked next to him. Will we have to go down the Japanese route of restricting car width for certain situations ? -

lexus ct200h - Cars with Futuristic / Technical / interior design 7 Oct 2015 (Forum)
I find interior designs such as Lexus CT200h (with all the back lights such as gree light when you go "Eco" mode or red light when you go "Sport" mode), or the ldashboard layout of the Honda CRZ to be very beautiful. On the other hand, I find the simple designs such as the ones on most BMWs and Audis to be extreamly boaring. This may sound odd, I love lots of bottons and lights in the interior designs. I'm a very technical and computer person myself (Game Designer) and would love to see my options when it comes to affordable used cars with technical and futuristic interior designs. -
Dark Colour Cars and scratches 23 Jul 2015 (Forum)
I have a dark blue BMW 320 and love it when it's clean and polished but it attracts scratches like no car I have ever owned before and I am baffled. I always clean it by hand, never use a car wash yet virtually every time I clean it there's another scratch and it's driving me bananas as I just don't know what's causing it. -

Hi Can anyone help, I'm trying to buy some new fuel injectors for my Omega the 2.5TD which as a BMW 6 cylinder engine in it as standard. The main agents prices are an arm and a leg and Iv'e been told they will have to get them from Germany, so I'm looking for companies in Germany who may stock them, and hopefully I may be able to get them cheaper. -
Think i hit a parked car 23 Apr 2013 (Forum)
I was in my Private work carpark on Saturday and think i hit a BMW (heard a noise), i got out naturally thinking "oh dear, oh dear" and there was absolutely no damage to my car, no scratches or anything, it was perfect. Then i went over to see the other car and there was a massive dent and scratches and the number plate was broken, i went to get some advice from a couple of my collegues and they said there was no way i could damage a car that much and have no damage to mine, they said if i went in a said i'd hit it, he'd try and pin all the damage on me. -
Any - LPG or Diesel 30 Jan 2013 (Forum)
Thinking of 08/09 plates in: Honda Accord / Mazda 6 / Maybe a BMW 3 / Audi A4 Obvious choice is Diesel, but after reading about numerous problems with DPF's and the costs associated in fixing I am put off with it all. -
Any - Built-in sat nav - will it date 17 Feb 2012 (Forum)
However, whatever car I buy I'm keeping for at least 7 years, probably longer. Would I be left with an anitquated in-built sat nav by then? I noticed that the latest BMW iDrive "CIC" widescreen systems look far more sophisticated than their previous efforts. The Audi nav in a friends 03-reg A6 Avant looks hopelessly dated and is fiddly to operate. So, is in-built nav a worthwhile investment for a long-term ownership proposition? -

Peugoet 407 Coupe 2.7 V6 HDi - Peugeot 407 Coupe - Yes/No? 15 Jun 2011 (Forum)
It's up at £10300 at a Peugeot dealer. Alternatively, are there any other bigger coupes along the same lines these days? Audi/BMW likely out of price range. Thanks Andrew -
Audi A4 Avant - New car A4 Avant or 3 series touring - diesels 1 Dec 2010 (Forum)
However the new A4 is much improved and a really nice car too, plus my current Audi has been trouble free. To my mind the pros and cons are that the BMW is perhaps a slightly better drive, but the downside is those stupid run-flat tyres and a more cramped interior. The Audi will also remain a newer model for longer, but is £2K more. Opinions please...and no saying buy Japanese please ! -
Any - New design of V5 ??? 21 Nov 2010 (Forum)
Other than this it is exactly the same as previous V5's over the last few years with all the details of the previous owner & specification of the vehicle. The last V5 I had which was for a BMW K1200R bike I bought in July this year has the top half in blue & bottom half green/blue. Has anyone else had this new style V5 ? -
Volkswagen Golf IV - SPEEDING, CAMERA FLASH BUT NO POINTS.. LUCKY!! 22 Sep 2010 (Forum)
Driving in essex on 18th September 2010 at approx 10.30pm, from a friends house to a ngiht out. Had an undercover bmw police car behind me did not notice. I went past a speed camera (30mph) on my side of the road, and then sped off very quickly doing about 55-60mph in a 30mph zone and set off the speed camera on the otherside. -
What sort of car do you drive? 15 Aug 2010 (Forum)
I'll start the ball rolling: 2009 Skoda Octavia vRS TDI estate SWMBO - 2009 Mini Cooper convertible And I'm lucky enough to have had a small windfall a couple of years ago and so have a 2001 BMW Z3 2.2 as a fun car. I live near Reading and I'm training manager for a large firm of accountants (so boring on two counts, trainer and accountant....). Also church organist at Sonning-on-Thames.
