Any - New design of V5 ??? - dieselnut

Recently purchased a 52 reg Skoda Octavia Vrs from a trader 3 weeks ago.

The V5 has just arrived from the DVLA & is a different, rather disconcerting design, to the previous ones that I have received over the last few years.

The top half of the front page is bright RED with a 1/2 inch blue band across the middle with the words ' THIS DOCUMENT IS NOT PROOF OF OWNERSHIP. IT SHOWS WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR REGISTERING & TAXING THE VEHICLE. '. The bottom half of the front page is PINK.

Other than this it is exactly the same as previous V5's over the last few years with all the details of the previous owner & specification of the vehicle.

The last V5 I had which was for a BMW K1200R bike I bought in July this year has the top half in blue & bottom half green/blue.

Has anyone else had this new style V5 ?

Yup

Supposed to be more forgery proof to the greenish one.

I thought it was introduced (very belatedly) because of the theft of a large quantity of blank original ones ??
