'Metal' interiors 21 Feb 2005 (Forum)
Nowadays even fully loaded Signum 3.2 V6 comes with scary, body-colour-coded bits of metal around the B-pillars (door surroundings). Same applies to many more, like Citroen C4, Vectra or Skoda Superb (upper class wanna-be hehe). My Corolla ?02 (top-specs ?Sol?, current model, sedan, made in Turkey) has ?em covered with nice bulletproof black-matte plastic (very Audi-like hehe). -
C3 Clutch 3 Nov 2004 (Forum)
If it is wear and tear, they must be using increadibly poor components in it's manufacture. I've written to Citroen UK, who say it's tough, basically. They go by what the dealers advise. Any suggestions for the best way to take this forward? It seems I only have my feeling it shouldn't have gone knowing how it's been driven (which I can't prove), against their mechanics saying it's just worn out. -
Suggestions for first car? 31 Oct 2004 (Forum)
Strictly speaking, it's not the first car I'd have driven. I currently drive a '92 Citroen ZX 1.4 Aura, but it's a little lacking in cred, the carburetor is getting to be a pain and the electrics are doing what all French one's do, fall apart. My Dad bought it for me a while ago, and so it is all in his name, but I want to begin to build up my NCB, so I want to get my own car. -
More PSA climate glitches. Cit Synergie 13 Apr 2004 (Forum)
Since Sunday the outside temp. gauge on my Citroen Synergie seems to be reading about 20deg C too high. The reading varies from time to time as though it really is monitoring the temp somewhere in the world; probably Bahrain as it said 31deg when I parked up in damp and chilly North Yorkshire this evening. -
C5 2.0 HPI 8 Mar 2004 (Forum)
Does the high pressure injection cause the rattle when the engine is cold, or does the engine have very high compression? The local Citroen dealer can't help me out on that one. It was very nice to drive and feels much lighter than our 2.2 HDI. -
advice please, Yaris or Jazz or.... 16 Dec 2003 (Forum)
So my question is as I haven't been able to test drive the Yaris, should I consider it against the Jazz, or is there something else that will do what I need better. I have driven the Citroen C3 and Ford Fiesta, both with direct shift/tiptronic, they were very sluggish compared to the Jazz, and the jerk on transmission was awful. I'd appreciate any advice. Brake Fluid - "Pumpin' or Blowin'"? 3 Jul 2003 (Forum)
I am about to embark on changing the fluid on the Trooper/Monterey, and wonder about shelling out the £15-ish for the Gunson tool (maybe more if I need a special cap adapter). Maybe this is where the Citroen has the edge, which, for all its electro-hydraulic fun, has, (so I read repeatedly on other forum) a virtually self-bleeding system, save for the "cul-de-sac" of each caliper. Suggestions from list sages welcome! -
1999 Golf - Total Gearbox Failure 18 Aug 2002 (Forum)
Incidentally he has a Fiat Stilo Hire car - it is a fantastic little car, very thoughtfully made. I hired a Citroen C3 when I was on Holiday in France - it was awful........... I look forward to any comments Cheers -
Crossover technologies 1 Oct 2001 (Forum)
For example, bicycles use cassette-type fit and forget sealed wheel bearings now, but is anything going the other way? (I know, I know, bicycles need engines...) Chris PS I reckon it would only take one Citroen sphere on a permanently pressurized oleopneumatic suspension system to give a lovely ride on my tandem, but maybe that's a bit Chris Watson-esque. -
Nearly a fright ... 25 Sep 2001 (Forum)
Sure enough the nearside front was making a whoosh whoosh noise as the car came to a standstill. Ever since we sold her Citroen CX, she has criticised the brakes on any car we have ever had; she got on well with the on/off hydraulics of the CX. Anyway, resisting the temptation to say yeah, yeah and ignore her, I took the wheel off. -
The case for having a van 20 Jun 2001 (Forum)
Whilst continuing a major gardening project over the weekend I was minded to pose the following question - "why do a lot of us run a car at all?" My second vehicle is a van (Citroen C15D to be precise) and it offers a brilliant alternaltive to a car. Just consider: 1. Cheap (under £2000 for an M plate, at the time I bought it) 2. Easy to service - basic IDI diesel and no fancy electronics on the vehicle 3. -
Bits & Pieces 11 Jun 2001 (Forum)
Just in the space of about a week I have learned much about the on/off love affair which most of us have with Citroens, the complexities of suspensions, diesel power bands, the best ways to buy our cars and, explained with admirable clarity, the ramifications for us all if we take on the Euro. Keep up the excellent contributions. -

100 years of Mazda 7 Feb 2021 (Forum)
A few things jumped out, first of these were the fact that from 1987 through into the 90's, Mazda were the official importers of Citroen cars into Japan, starting with the BX. They also, for a short time (no dates given), sold Lancia cars. Both of these were done through Mazda's own portfolio of 'brands', Citroen being sold through Eunos dealers, and Lancia by Autozam. -
