    A recent VW tech inspection found a fault that they fixed through their diagnostic systems Name: HYBRID BATTERY CONTROL DTC: P0E5E00, Battery charger, internal fault System Type: -SYSTEM TYPE:47- Next time they thought it was the horn relay switch so replaced that but next day, the horn sounded again when car was unlocked.

  SHE HUNG UP ON ME With the help of some very nice people I got the car started and went to the Nissan Garage who fitted a brand new battery Once home I checked the Volkswagen paperwork from when I bought the car, it does in fact state I have roadside assistance. I have removed the useless VW “advertising” stickers from my car A couple of weeks earlier I got an e mail from Volkswagen saying my car was due a service.

  Hi all sorry in advance for the rant .... got a vectra c 1.9 cdti sri 150  2004  last week was  on my way to work and the battery light came on and some 10 miles later I started to get warning lights flashing at me then power steering failed so parked in a bay and turned off .... 8 hours later at 06:00 hours car wouldn't start got a jump start to get me home thee 11 miles on my way I started to loose all power like lights and stuff power steering so replaced alternater and belt today with a reconditioned alternater car started fine everything all good was buzzing all fixed ye so off I went to work the 11 miles all good apart from the lights inside and out were very faintly flickering started to get a little peed off so after my shift set off home all good with a little flicker then after about 6 mile all lights radio heaters everything electrical went off and it's dark by the way so no lights then they come on then they went off power steering went again then it would come back then electrics went then power steering for the rest of my journey home the 5 miles I had left constantly on and off with a click from which I presume is a relay from the glove box area..... anybody got any ideas were to start had a new battery fitted about 14 months ago could it be a dodgey earth or something bigger?

  Last week, I nipped out, and stopped at a local shop on the way home.  The van wouldn't start - it was turning over, but not starting. The battery started to get low, and so I sent my partner home to get her car to charge the battery.. 15mins later+15mins charging, the Van started..   Ok, now this has happened a few times - always after running for a few miles (ie enough for the engine to get hot).

  The car started and I drove it 30 meters down the road where the engine stopped presumably as the filter was empty. I tried starting the engine a number of times but it would not start until eventually the battery went flat. The battery was removed, recharged and re-installed in the car. The fuel pump located in the tank does not work when turning the ignition key. The voltmeter at the pump connections shows 12V for a brief moment - not even a second.

  I have changed the glow plugs twice and had the conductors check and all is fine. I cant see it being the battery as this has been going on for a year and a half now and the battery is being charged by a working alternator. Any ides on what the problem is and roughly how much to get fixed? I am based in the West Country so it could be worse - I could be based in cold Scotland.

  Called the RaC who after a very long wait sent a Sub contractor out. He parked his van directly behind the car and I told him I had left lights on and now car battery was dead. He got a starter battery pack asked me to try starting car which it did first time. He then left quickly, so I started to put the car into gear so I could reverse out of parking space. Thats when I realised I couldn't select a gear, all lights were lit, the windscreen wipers wouldn't work, the windows wouldn't go down, and there were 4 red dots showing that were never there before on the rear parking sensors.

  Recently we have had a new battary and a new altinator. We do get a lot of "furring" deposits on the positive side of the battery, even after the altinator replacement. The car was parked on the street so I jumped the car and it started OK with jump leads and I got parked on the drive turned if off and tried to start it , back to the clicking central locking.

  This draining the battery fault is intermittent, can't be traced by any autoelectrician, and is also driving me daft. No intermittent shorts, lights on etc. etc. anywhere I can see after a thorough examination. I've also re-set the BSI.

  Cue the AA, towage to my local Honda dealer, and following a short conversation with the Mr Man at Honda, i became aware of a serious fault. If you connect the jump leads to the battery with the key in the ignition, the immobiliser scrambles and shuts down, meaning that Mr Honda needs to plug his computer into the car to get it started again. Therefore the moral of the story is: ***Make sure your keys ARE NOT in the ignition before you connect your jump leads to the battery!!!!

    Finally you can get at the siren box, sealed unit with internal rechargable batteries.  Unfortunately, as link said, my batteries had leaked through to the cicuit board and damaged it beyond repair. I phoned Audi for part, £84 plus VAT. two days wait. As I would have to wait for the part, I decided to fit the new siren externally in the boot space, not hidden away, so adjusted the wiring and mounting bracket.

  It's finally charged enough" day after, dead again. Before I rush out and buy a £60 battery, is it definitely the battery do you think? Could it be the alternator? Both? Neither? Is there any way of making sure one way or the other? While I'm at it, last time I was driving, the stereo (manufacturer's standard) asked me for a code (??)

  I also think the car should be returned to me in the same operational state as they received it. The local main dealer tells me that if the battery is disconnected, the terminals touched together, then the battery reconnected this usually resets the computer. I am not in a position to do this, but the repairers are, Surely they should find this information for themselves and not fob me off to a main dealer.

  I just thought I would get peoples opinion on the Advice I got from my Renault Dealership.Because I have been far from impressed with them in the past (two days after having a gold service and mot which cost me around £400 my battery failed ). I don't care if they say the battery isn't checked in a service /mot , it's a bit bad to have to call the AA two days after spending £400 on a maintainence check at a main dealer. Also according to a mechanic I spoke to last year they ripped me off completely in terms of the service.

  Everyone says its a fuel delivery issue, in fact twice the RAC managed to start it with jump leads (battery woirn flat) and easystart in air filter inlet. Even a Ford Field engineer couldnt bottom this when it was in the ford dealers for 5 weeks once in June/July 2007. all electrics checked and like I said new fuel pump, new PCM, new battery new crankshaft sensor, yet still once in a while it resues to fire up, turns over perfectly Ok just wont actually fire up like I say RAC men say its fule delivery.

  Hello I have a weird problem with the remote (infrared) locking mechanism. All of sudden it stopped working. The battery is ok I have tried 2 new. I have also tried to switch the circuit boards with one taken from another keyfob. And it still won't work. The central locking system works well when using the door lock but not when using the remote.

  Turned over and all was fine, no more smoke, temp fine, quite happy. Except, now the brake fluid indicator (!) and battery lights are stuck on? Brake Fluid is fine, and more importantly brakes are working fine. Battery should also be ok cos lights etc were all off when I was under the bonnet, so very little excess drain.
• Honda CR-V 1.6 DIESEL 2014 - FLASHING GREEN KEY ON DASH 11 Sep 2025 (Forum)
  Already used car today,went to restart within 30min,was cranking over for a few seconds,no start,;flashing green key on dash.Tried spare key,no luck,tried disconnect battery for 30 min,no luck. Search online  suggests immobiliser issue? Did have PGMI fault code before this, but ran fine. Any ideas ?, will be ringing auto elecs tomorrow,that i have used before,but dont think they offer mobile service.There are other mobile auto elecs in the area, so shouldnt be a problem getting someone out.
• Breakdown Cover (again!) 24 May 2025 (Forum)
  I’ve had their cover for a few years as it covers me in both cars (Logan and MX5) for a reasonable amount. I’ve only had to call them out once after I replaced the battery in the Mazda and couldn’t get it going (turned out to be my fault but that’s another story). I was quite happy to renew when on the payment page I noticed a cross next to the ‘cover for cars over 15 years old’.

  Good Afternoon, Can you help me determine the fault with my Fiesta, it seems ignition won't start the car: https://youtu.be/Apswi6TYwiM Battery tries to crank the engine but it just won't start. And after around 10 seconds of dash computer starts throwing up several errors: 'brake system fault', 'abs fault', etc.. I've certainly not seen anything like that before.
