  • Zantia tyre wear 27 Mar 2001 (Forum)
I wonder if it is an under inflation problem or something more serious with the complicated suspension. A Citroen mechanic has checked the suspension bushes for wear and pronounced them sound. I will need to buy new tyres soon. One was so bad I have had to replace one with the spare, it has about 5 mm left across most of the tyre and completely worn down on the edge. any ideas ?
  • Retirement car 25 Jan 2001 (Forum)
I retire later this year. I have been quite happy driving too and from work in a 1997 R Citroen ZX Temptation 1.9D (and before that a ZX 1.4i). I would like something much more relaxed for my retirement. Although I will be doing less mileage, there will be more longer journeys to see family and friends around UK.
  • Honda CR-V / Citroen C3 1.4 Hdi - Should i sell my Honda CR-V or C3 ? :) 9 Aug 2015 (Forum)

Also this car have 34000 on the clock, no warranty anymore.   If i dont sell CR-V in this moment, probably i wont get this offer anymore..
  • Help with choice please. 12 Mar 2017 (Forum)
I have two cars in mind, a 1.25 Ford Fiesta, for the 8 grand I have to spend I can prob get a 2015 with around 10,000 miles on the clock from a main dealer with some warranty left or a Citroen C1 (I like the look of the Citroen over the other two although the warranty on the Aygo is tempting). To get a similar age/mileage c1 I could prob spend closer to 7 from a main dealer. I was thinking the C1 would be a good choice if the job change goes ahead, looks fun to drive etc.

  • Kia Sportage - MHEV Sportage being discontinued? 7 Jul 2025 (Forum)
I went for some test drives with my daughter over the weekend. She wants an SUV to replace an ancient Citroen Berlingo. At the Kia dealership we test drive an MHEV "3" which mostly drove OK, though from my point of view the steering was quite vague and could be wiggled quite a bit in the ahead position before the car stated turning.
  • Skoda Fabia - Is there known issue for VAG 1.0TSI ? 14 Nov 2024 (Forum)
We are looking to replace our 10 year old Citroen C4 Picasso.  The car has been running okay but need to downsize so that our son can drive when he passes his driving test in next few month. We quite like Skoda Fabia Hatchback and our budget is around 10k which will enable us to get one post 17/67 reg.
  • Ford - Powershift all bad? 22 May 2024 (Forum)
I was originally looking at the Touran and the C4 Spacetourer but have seen a few Fords that looked decent nearby. If it's a definite no to Powershift in all cases then I'll stick with leaning towards the Citroen, which no doubt has its own problems.

It'll have to be an old model from 2005-ish looking at Auto Trader prices on my budget (£4,500, and prices are more ridiculous in the South West)   Bearing in mind the early models I'll have to go for, which would you choose from these please?   Ford S-Max Ford Galaxy Citroen C4 Grand Picasso  VW Sharan Seat Alhambra (I can't locate any though) Kia Sportage   Or early: Berlingo Multispace  Peugeot Partner Tepee Renault Kangoo   Please shout up if you think of other cars that will suit, in my price range.
  • Advice - 2 isofix baby seats and one adult in rear 4 Sep 2019 (Forum)
We would be looking to lease and dont want to spend more than £300 a month. I think the Citroen C5 aircross might be our best bet. I also like the Mazda CX-5 but dont know this will be big enough. Also dont think a Sportage, Kadjar, Tuscon or 3008 would suit. Does anyone have any experience with getting two baby seat in the back as well as an adult in any current SUV's?
  • Volkswagen Golf - Are 3 door cars bigger in the front? 2 Aug 2019 (Forum)
Hi, I'm looking to buy my first car(previously drove my mom's Honda crv) I'm a big and tall guy so I like my space, I noticed that some of the smaller cars I have trouble getting in and out of (inside room is fine just getting in and out) This will be my first car so not looking to spend too much, was thinking a focus hatchback 2007-2010 or golf again 2007 to 2010, and then a octavia or passat 2007 to 2010, I've noticed that 3 door cars seem bigger but just wondering if the front seat is bigger/more roomy, I'm opened to any car suggestions you may have for cars, 1.6 petrol max (insurance purposes) I was also looking at the citroen c4, 3 door version, it looks quite roomy in the front,  Anyways, welcoming all feedback and suggestions, thanks :)

I have heard of more conventional diesels - pre common rails- doing 3-400k ( peug, citroen and renault laguna) but id be interested to what sort of milage a new style - eg common rail- diesel engine would last for before major engine trouble 2/ Do likes of fuel pump, turbo, injector, head gasket failure usually happen on a diesel engine before main engine wear?

  • Car hunting nightmare 4 Feb 2016 (Forum)
I searched and as I only do 5500 miles a year, maximum one way 15 mins on motorway once a week, this is not good :-( Now the hard part, finding a petrol version of above is proving difficult, especially for tax bands and luggage space. The brands I am mostly looking at (unless anyone says avoid): Citroen Fiat Ford Nissan Renault Suzuki Vauxhall Volvo    Not sure if I am ranting or asking for help on suggestions.

  • High mileage Honda Jazz's? 15 May 2012 (Forum)
I am having to sell my beloved citroen xsara1.8 auto because it's 14 years old and replacing the rad will be £300+ and mechanic said it might unsettle other stuff. I'm trying to be good and go for something more fuel efficient, so test drove a c3 1.6 sensodrive and hated the engine noise and suspension.
