Citreon C4 2.0 VTR 2005 - Kangaroo jumps Citreon C4 - Ormesherg
Dear All
I have a Citroen C4 2.0 VTR Diesel that has been playing up recently with kangaroo jumps, hesitant acceleration etc etc. I googled the problem and came across a post which said remove a connecter to a sensor on the inlet manifold. There were two there so I removed one and went for a drive. I got a depollution error but the car ran smooth with no more jumping. I believe removing this connector puts the car in some default mode. I removed the sensor an did notice a lot of oil and dirt on the sensor and on the inside of the ducting. There is a flapper in there connected to a spring I guess that was moving and returning to position when pushed. I cleaned as much as I could and reassembled and connected the sensor up again. The jumping behaviour was back and the depollution error was still there.
What do I need to replace here, just the sensor?

Regards

Geoff

Looks like the guess-o-meter has come out to play. You have removed a sensor, but don't know what is is or does and cleaned a flap.No disrespect, but modern common rail diesels are very complicated and without any accurate diagnosis you are not going to get very far.Get the system checked properly.
