  Hello first time poster I have a new 5 month old 4K mile q7 it developed a fault last Sat 30th April key problem it would let me in car but not start (8 hours for Audi road side assistance to recover) Have any new q7 owners suffered the same/similar problem? Audi have it up and running on temporary fix but are stating it is temporary and fault could occur again. Any info or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  Nothing spilt near or on the operating knob. Any ideas out there. Taking it to Audi apparently can cost up to 1K according to their forum. Thanks to anybody/everybody who answers

  Quite fancied a 2 year old A5 as my next car, but speaking with a couple of reputable used car dealers, it would appear that modern Audis are not as wise a buy as you may first think. One of the dealers simply won't entertain selling any Audis from the past 3 years. Too many tales of very expensive electronic problems, especially with that new-fangled DSG gearbox.

  I,ve got an Audi A4 Sport (2001) I bought it second hand 6 months ago. Within a few weeks of ownership the engine management light came on. I had this checked by an Audi main dealer - they said a new cat was required.

  My car is up for change and after two problem free Volvos I fancy a change and was thinking of an Audi A4 cab. The reviews wax lyrical, but the customer reviews and forums suggest a lot of problems (particularly with A4 coils and engine management systems). This surprised me as I thought Audi build quality was top notch.

  From personable experience with an Audi A4 2.8 V6, it burnt 1 litre of oil every 1000 miles, so over 30k the sump would be replenished several times anyway!!

  Are VW's built to the same corrosion standards as Audi in terms of galvanised panels etc. etc. Why is a 98 A4 1.8T £2000 more than a Passat Sport when the Passat is bigger/the platform for the A6. I've seen reports on here about VW/AUDI not being all they're cracked up to be in terms of reliability, is there anything to choose between them (different factories, better QC) or shall I just pocket the £2k and put it towards repairs!

  Does anyone know of a website that lists all the Audi specialist servicing garages in the UK? Specifically Scotland? I am 30 miles west of Glasgow. Am I right in thinking that specialists are cheaper than main dealers? Cheers Lenny

  I'm thinking about buying one of these, and I noticed that the Car-By-Car breakdown mentions a dealer TSB to replace the clutch. What does this mean? Will Audi pay for this? Should I avoid cars that haven't had this done? Thanks

  I'm looking to buy an Audi TT and it has 70,000 on the clock and needs a service. Does anyone know what needs to be changed at 70,000? Does the cambelt need changing? It's on a T reg and is left hand drive. Any advice most welcomed.

  Can someone tell me if it is possible to get a set of golf clubs in the boot of an Audi A3. Also, how many would fit in an A4? I can't make up my mind what to go for and this might influence it a bit.

   He obviously doensn't want to start taking the seats out, but is willing to take it to a garage, I am loathe to get him to take it to Audi as I can see them charging £500 in labour to remove the seats & carpet, but I will if I have to, the item lost was irreplaceable.  My mate lives in Hemel Hempstead, south Herts, does anyone know of a good independent (Audi / VAG?)

  I took it to an Audi specialist and he, like everyone else isn't entirely sure whats causing the misfire, however he seems fairly confident its the inlet and lower manfiold at a cost of £1000 to repair?? Any ideas if this sounds like a possibility or is there another common fault which hasnt been picked up?
