Subaru Legacy & LPG Conversion 22 Feb 2003 (Forum)
Does anyone here have any experience with having a Subaru Legacy converted to LPG ??? I test drove an Outback recently and was very impressed with the vehicle, but I have read in many reviews, and was told by the dealer that they tend to be quite thirsty... I would be intending to buy a used 4or 5 year old 2.5 estate or outback, automatic, and have the vehicle converted to LPG. -
Lexus LS400 - LPG blog 13 Oct 2013 (Forum)
I thought it might be useful to write a blog of my experience of LPG conversion from start to finish. Today I will be dropping off my 1999 Lexus mk4 LS400 to Battersea Autogas to have a BRC system with auto flash lube fitted. I have requested they remove the inlet manifold when drilling to prevent swarf entering the engine. -
Land Rover Discovery (1989 - 1998) - 96 3.9 LPG fault 10 Aug 2009 (Forum)
When the petrol pump symbol is on red, it runs on petrol, but when the button is pushed, it changes to 4 green led's followed by 1 amber and 1 red one, this may mean empty? I put £15 of LPG in yesterday but this may have leaked out by now. When it switches over it runs for a few seconds then cuts out. Very hard to restart on petrol. Any ideas? -
Jeep Cherokee (1993 - 2001) - 1995 4.0l LPG Problem 8 Aug 2008 (Forum)
I've just bought a '95 Jeep Cherokee 4.0l Ltd. with an lpg conversion and for the first few days, it has run perfectly. However, it has now started cutting out at every junction and roundabout while on gas but no problems when on petrol. I have to admit I may have accidentally allowed the tank to run dry on the way to my first gas fill-up but there's none of the backfiring I was warned about. -
Volvo V70 management light 28 Jul 2007 (Forum)
My son has a W reg V70, in very nice condition, recently serviced etc, the car has had a certificated LPG conversion. He has had a problem with the management light coming on, he has taken it back to dealer who has been very helpful including paying Volvo dealer to change all manner of sensors etc, who blamed the LPG but when it went to a independant arbitrator they stated that the light came on when the LPG was turned off anway. -
Which engine oil should I use for an LPG conversion? 19 Dec 2016 (Ask HJ)

Dacia/LPG 1 Jun 2020 (Forum)
I was never a fan of the 0.9 tce, having tried it in a Clio. On the latest Sandero, they offer the 1.0 tce bi-fuel (petrol and lpg) engine. I'm not particularly interested in the lpg option (I only do about 9k pa) but I can't help thinking that a 100 hp engine in the Sandero could be a good thing. Recently I test-drove a Duster with the 1.0 tce 100 engine and it was, to my mind, ok if not sparkling. -

Hi.I am considering getting my X-Trail converted to LPG as i only get 29mpg.However i am getting conflicting views when asking for quotes online. One garage has said that the car has "severe valve seat recession"and that it will last 8-10000 miles even with oil injection(like flashlube)and then a £1500 repair bill for new exhaust valves and seats ! -

3.5 V8 rover lpg conversion - help 6 Aug 2003 (Forum)
I've got an ex met police riot bus LDV LWB twin rear 400, twin carb, no cat, 22k miles c/w 3.5 V8, a sweet runner returing 17-20mpg, which compares favourably with plenty of R/rovers. However, she's an obvious LPG/dualfuel candidate. I've been told that being carb she has to have an induction type system which, unless fitted by someone with a lot of experience, could mean I sacrifice a lot of good things for a lot of hassle. -
Spare tyre laws 11 Jun 2001 (Forum)
My brother-in-law has just had his car converted to LPG. For the conversion, the company has used an LPG tank that fills the spare wheel hole. They have told him to keep his spare in the garage and have supplied him with a tin of "approved" sealant, "as used by the Police, you know, they don't carry spare tyres any more". -
LPG on the A1M 25 Oct 2011 (Forum)
I found a Total one nearby to the Newark BP just off of the A1 (by about a hundred yards or so) but frankly it's a desert out there ...LPG wise! Coming off on the A14 I found a Shell at Fenstanton so thats where I filled up. I can do up to a 180 miles between fill ups but why risk running out. If you do run LPG with a smallish tank you neeed to apply a lot of forward planning peeps. -
