MultiAir, initially developed for spark ignition engines burning light fuel ranging from petrol to natural gas and hydrogen, also has wide potential for diesel engine emissions reduction. -

Lexus has recalled 759,000 cars globally after discovering a fault with the fuel pipes, including 9637 vehicles registered in the UK. The company has confirmed in a statement that the problem affects IS, GS and LS models, but has also said that there have been no reported accidents or injuries related to the issue. -

Effective from 4 January, the price cap sees diesel and unleaded available at the same price of 99p-per-litre for the first time in over six years. The reductions are currently limited to supermarkets, although other fuel retailers are expected to follow. The fall in fuel prices reflects the global collapse in the wholesale cost of oil, which now stands at £26 a barrel – its lowest since 2005. -
