  As above, looking at the E91 estate, probably around 90-100K mileage and 2006/2007 models.  However, I know next to nothing about BMW diesels (coming from a VAG TDI background)!  I've read briefly about with the issues of swirl flap failure and VANOS seal faliure on some BMW diesels - would the 2.0L diesel on this model suffer the same issues?

  Hi all i have a bmw 330 ci with 10000mls on the clock it seems to develop a really annoying squeak at the back when the weather is hot-the more hot the day the worse the squeak! it seems to happen when the car is doing about 20mls per hour but not at faster speeds i had the car serviced at a main bmw dealer and they had the wheels off and they could not see a problem (so i take it its not the brakes)

  thinking of changing my automatic focus (2003) in the near future. two options at present.seat leon 2.0 tdi with the dsg gearbox or the bmw 120 se or m sport automatic. i have tested a leon dsg which i thought was great, lovely gearbox. as yet have not tested the bmw. has anyone experience of the six speed auto in this model, what are their thoughts, is it a standard auto as in the focus. also a maybe will be the new focus with the ford dsg style gearbox, but as yet i have not seen any reviews on this setup. thanks

  Hi, I need two new remote central locking keys for my car. Is a BMW garage the only place where I can get it? If so, do they charge for the key AND to programme it? Reason I ask is that one BMW garage said I would be charged 85 quid for one remote key and 50 quid for programming - another dealership said I only need to purchase the key as programming is not required.

  Friend of my wife is very excited at the thought of picking up her new BMW 116se in a few days. I asked what deal she got and she was very pleased to have 12 months tax and a tank of petrol!! Turns out she happily accepted £2500 for her 51 reg Pug 307 lx, paid full list price for the BMW and readily accepted the high APR rate on the finance deal.

    I was given an hpi certificate at the time and the log book was stamped by BMW so I presumed all would be fine and correct.  Where do I stand in terms of where I can go from here? Surely they could have done more to verify the mileage? Especially in light of the fact it was sold to them as un-warrantied mileage car by BMW?

  Hi, I've been looking at a BMW X5 E70 3.0 diesel 2009. I noticed the exhaust tailpipes were black with soot. Did X5 of this vintage have a DPF fitted ? if they did , why would the tailpipes be sooty ? Thanks

  I live in a heavily populated BMW area and have yet to see a 2 Series coupe on the road. Is this a marketing clanger or a potential rareity?! I am curious because Mrs M has a 3 coupe which although she loves it to bits will ultimately need to be changed.
