VW Group to buy Ferrari/Maserati/Alfa 24 Dec 2002 (Forum)
The big stumbling block is GM who already have a stake in Fiat with furthers options in the future. Lets hope this VW Group deal is pulled off. Audi have done wonders with the new Lambo and no doubt would give the other top three Italian brands the future they deserve. -
Windscreen advice 3 Dec 2002 (Forum)

6K Family car 21 Feb 2002 (Forum)
I have 6K to spend on a solid family car. I have considered a Passat, Audi A4 and old A6, old 5 series BMW, Honda Accord, Toyota Avensis and high spec Mo Mondeos. It appears to be a trade off between old quality high milers and newer cars perceived as less quality vehicles. -

Rust on Mid 1990 cars - which manufacturer is wors 29 Aug 2001 (Forum)
Why is it that some makes - Rover, Ford, etc. have serious rust / corrosion at this age, whilst other such as Volvo, Audi, VW, etc. show no sign or rust? Why don't companies realise that, not only does rust depress resale values and reputations, but also, corrosion seriously compromises the strength of the car? Crash tests are all well and good on new cars, but the average age of cars in Britain must be around five years ? -

BMW X1, Mercedes GLA, Audi Q3 - X1 vs GLA vs Q3 8 Feb 2016 (Forum)
I tried Auto-transmissions on all of them and have got deals on paper for both GLA and X1. I will get figures from my local Audi dealer about the Q3 later on today. These are my thoughts are about each: BMW X1: The newest of them all, looks great, grat interior, the auto-grearbox is amazing and drives well too. -
MG 4 EV - Finance showing against VRM - but no Finance had 27 Nov 2022 (Forum)
I originally bough the Plate from DVLA in March 2020 and it was put onto my then Vehicle which I bought in Feb 2020 from Audi Main Dealer, also Cash purchase. The plate was removed from this vehicle March 2021 and put onto retention pending my selling the Audi. The plate has never been on a car that has had any finance against it since buying from the DVLA. -
Lexus, Toyota, GM, others - Hybrids - good to drive? how about 2nd hand 24 Jan 2014 (Forum)
I looked also at the CT200h, but found the interior was just lifted straight out of the Toyota parts bin (mainly the Carina used by numerous taxi fleets in some of the countries I visit on business), and I really think this is lazy, I really didn't like it...yes I know they come from the same parent company, but an Audi is far more bespoke to Audi than simply lifting VW bits. It can and it should be done for a premium brand. I would like to find something that will seat 4, and be fun to drive, Honda CR-Z won't seat 4, and the "fun to drive" bit may be hard. -
Failing to buy a new car. 13 Jan 2006 (Forum)
After having a fun year in my lovely SLK350 - time has come to part. So after some thinking about the replacement I decided on either an Audi A4 2.5tdi Avant or a BMW 320d Touring. First visit was the BMW dealer. WOH! I'm a young man but even I was overwhelmed by the testoterone overload in the local BMW dealership. All sales men were mean and under 40. -
Audi Dealer woes, advice would be nice 4 May 2004 (Forum)
I was told that the RADIO was causing the battery to run flat and that a new one had been ordered and the car should be ready in a couple of days. They would call me. Another week goes by, no calls from Audi. I phone them up, leave messages with the secretary, with the Service department Secretary etc. No one calls me back. After three weeks I am a bit miffed, so I cab it to the dealer. After waiting at the service desk for over an hour I was informed that they were still waiting for the new Radio!. -

Mazda 3 - The perfect 10k used family car 11 Jan 2018 (Forum)
Have had a look through this forum, I’ve managed to narrow the list down to these: Mazda 3 SEAT Leon Skoda Octavia Volvo V60 We’re planning to head out to showrooms over the next few weekends to have a look at examples but wanted to know if any one had any thoughts on this list ot an obvious choice that I was missing (I thought about the Honda Civic but doesn’t interior seems a little dated when looking at the budget). Having asked around friends seem to suggest Golf/BMW Series 3/Audi A4 – any reason why these aren’t particularly highly recommended around here?? Grateful for any help – really not a car buff so any advice is good! -

Lots of miles in a short space of time = bad? 12 May 2011 (Forum)
Or would you be better with a slightly older car, but with less miles and a more traditional "one owner from new" scenario - I have found this to be the case in most Audi dealerships. I would really appreciate some advice - this car hunting is driving me crazy.
