Electric scooters available in new 'scrappage scheme' 3 Feb 2011 (News)

Also MINI stunt driving displays by the brilliant Russ Swift who could park it on a sixpence if there was still such a thing. The MINI craze really began at the Birmingham Motorshow two years ago, and I predict another craze will start at this one, because we’ll see not just one but three new small sportscars: The MCC Smart Roadster, the Ford Street Ka and the Daihatsu Copen. -
Used Van Buying Guide: Volkswagen Caddy 2010-2015 16 Jun 2025 (News)
The 2.0-litre TDI delivers either 110PS or 140PS, the 110PS version having 280Nm of torque, it only offered with VW’s 4Motion four-wheel drive system. The most common 140PS version ups that torque to 320Nm, making lighter work of any load, and helping with its 1.5 tonne towing (braked trailer) capacity. The smaller 1.6-litre TDi came with either a five-speed manual or a DSG automatic, the 2.0-litre TDI gaining an extra gear in with the manual and also offered with the DSG automatic. -

All versions are easy to drive, comfortable, efficient and practical. The Mk7 Transit was replaced in 2013 by not just the Transit Custom, but the larger standard Transit as well. The move makes some sense when you consider the breadth of models and drivetrains its predecessor offered, the Transit Custom coming exclusively in front-wheel drive, with a 2.2-litre turbodiesel at launch, with payload weights between 675kg and 1474kg. -

Comment: You never forget your first car 19 Dec 2016 (News)
. To think I have a pocket money Matchbox car to thank for a career in the automotive industry that has, so far, lasted 20 years and taken me all over the world, to drive some incredible cars in some incredible places, and meet some of the people who were my childhood heroes, may seem a little far-fetched. But I don't think it is. My love for that little car set me on a lifelong trajectory to make a living out of doing what I loved. -

Classic motorsport event returns to Chateau Impney 2 Jun 2015 (News)
The annual meet not only attracted some of the most sought-after cars and hill climb drivers of the era – including Tony Marsh, Phil Scragg and David Good – but also thousands of spectators, who would line the Chateau’s drive to catch a glimpse of the action on the original, twisting 550-yard course. ‘We are thrilled to be able to bring motorsport back to Chateau Impney,’ said Rod Spollon, chairman of the Chateau Impney Hill Climb Club. ‘In its heyday, the Chateau Impney sprint was one of the most anticipated on the calendar and a favourite with spectators and competitors, but until recently it seems it was destined to become the Midlands’ forgotten motorsport event.
