Something For Everyone at Auction Today 12 Apr 2004 (News)
Easter Monday’s Top Car sale certainly drew the crowds, and early arrivals also took advantage of the Hall 3 part-exchanges. Top Car of the day was the left-hand-drive Ferrari F360 Modena F1 Spider in the photo, imported from Spain and with only 7,000 kilometres under its wheels. It sold for a very reasonable £83,000, which has to leave plenty of profit for someone re-exporting to a LHD country and begs the question why it ever left Spain in the first place, where tax-paid Ferraris are a lot more money than they are here. -

Unfortunately we were blocking someone’s drive and there was a delay of 20 minutes before we managed to start the engine again and complete our journey. We took the car to our Hyundai garage, but they could find nothing wrong, so I stopped at a supermarket on the way home where the car failed to start once again. -

. The bill came to about £4,000 with VAT. That was last autumn and I have just taxed it from the 1st April. Q1: I am now driving it again and find the brakes very spongy and lacking bight. Do you think I ought to wait a bit, to see if they will sharpen up, or take it back to the garage pdq? Q2. My garage man says driving it on unleaded fuel will be fine. I'm not so sure. What's your advice? -

However it is the flexibility of the in-gear acceleration that sets the engine apart from its competitors; with 25 - 62 mph in fifth gear achievable in 11.5 seconds and 37 – 62 mph in sixth gear reached in just 8.9 seconds – this translates, in real world driving, to a more sporting driver experience consistent with a ‘flat’ torque curve and a constant delivery of power - perfect for confident overtaking and long distance driving. In addition, the 1750 TBi version includes a mileage extension to 21,000 miles between routine maintenance intervals. -
